When I tried to use the MQ for the Fusion Razor, she told me I couldn't use a coupon to buy something that had a gift card....I just laughed and told her to ask CS. Of course they said it was fine. I realize coupon policy can get complex, but come on....where do they make these things up?
My last two trips to Target were nightmares. The 1st trip I had several coupons that needed to be adjusted and the cashier refused to do it. He said he was told they could no longer do it. I came home and called corporate and let them know that I was upset. They told me that they would call the store and get it fixed. They also sent me a copy of the policy in a letter. The last time I went in before I went through the register I went to the service desk to make sure I would not have a problem. I was told that they would only adjust 5 coupons. I said that I have a copy of the policy and it doesn't state any limits. She said that the store manager did their to stop people from wiping out their supplies. I said that I have never emptied out a shelf, but they should be happy that their product is selling. I then said that if you don't want my money I would take my business to another store. I went and put some of the stuff back, and went through the register with only 5 coupons that needed adjusting. They sent someone over as soon as I got to the register to make sure that the cashier did the transaction properly only lowering the value on 5 coupons. I was so made that when I got home I phoned corporate again and told them how they made me feel like I was doing something wrong. She said that they had no right to set limits that corporate does that and that she was very sorry that my last two experiences were bad. She was going to call the store manager and set him straight on the policy once again. I told her that I was taking my business else where. I'm just not sure it is worth it.
I had a similiar bad experience at my local Target two night's ago. The cashier was SO mad at me over having so many coupons (I was stacking MQs with Target coupons) and she kept having to override/adjust them all.
She got to a $5 off a $5 purchase or more and flat out refused to scan anymore. Said I was trying to steal, commit coupon fraud, etc. I asked to speak to her supervisor and another cashier came over (the lead I assume) and she said they couldn't do it either. Asked to speak to the store manager and they flat out refused.
I snatched my coupons out of her hand and walked out. I have made several calls in to the store but the manager won't call me back. Grr! I need to call corporate because I do all my business at that store but I sure won't if they don't resolve this.
That is really weird. They should just accept them. Manufacturer with store coupons should not be a problem. That is why I usually just shop with online Target coupons. You don't have to deal with cashiers who don't know anything. You don't always get as extreme of savings, but I am totally willing to go with that if I don't need to argue with employees that don't know their own store's coupon policy.
