Target $5 Gift Card for Kelloggs products [x3/16/09]

Stopped at Target today and they are running a GC promotion for Kelloggs products. Buy 5 and get a $5 GC. I found nutri-grain cereal bars the strawberry yogurt flavor marked down to $1.27 each so after GC only .27 a box. There probably is a coupon out for these but I did not have any.
The 12 count boxes of poptarts are included also. They are $2.55 a box. Combining the target printable and there is a manufacturer coupon coming out this Sunday and you can get some cheap poptarts. Some boxes even had a chance for a $10 itunes GC inside.
Some of the special K bars are included also. I am sure some of the cereals are included but I did not look.
I think this promo goes until march sometime.
They also had some kind of kashi bars marked down I think it was coconut something but the shelf was empty at my store. They were like $2.xx so $1.xx after the kashi target coupon.
They also had there linens 75% off. Not much left but did get a few things.

Thank you! I'm also think that the poptarts will be a great deal if you have any $1/1 peelies. Also, I saw somebody else posted somewhere they found a peelie for a free Kellogg's product wyb special K crackers or something like that....Hmm...Off to see if I can make some deals!

Is the promotion in plain sight near the products?

Please forgive me for hijacking your thread, but what happens after you do the gift card deals?

Do the cashier just give them to you? Does something print out?

I'm interested in the Nutrigrain bars.

There are signs posted by the products.
As far as the GC goes the register prompts the cashier to give you a $5 GC after the 5th item is scanned. But you can not use it on that transaction. So do multiple transactions so you can roll this deal.

I don't frequent Target that much. However, you ladies are helping me to see that Target has some great deals.

I haven't done a gift card deal before so I wanted to be prepared for what happens. I'm going to tell my fellow couponing co-worker if she hasn't done it already.

Youc an also scan the product at the price scanner and it will tell you Free Gift card or something with the price. This way you can be sure you are buying a participating product!
