Why is Target dollar spot merchandise only discounted at 30% off?

I scanned the merchandise last Sunday. I thought it started at 50% off (it has for the last 5 years).

I did buy a few things from the dollar spot....I didn't know till I got there that they had marked it down at all...so I figured I was prepared to spend a dollar so why not..LOL

the normal v-day stuff was at 50%, got a really cute little stuffed dog in a striped carrier for a couple bucks..other than the fact that it's pink and purple ( it's b-day gift for a soon to be two year old young lady) you can't tell it's a "holiday" item...

It seems Target is playing around with the markdowns due to the economy. Nothing this year has gone the way it has been done for years past. It is driving my batty. I didn't even see the dollar spot marked down at my local Target. :shrug7:

Target needs to send a few people to take some notes from Khols! LOL

more customer service like that and target would be doing just fine!

Khol's is the ONLY store in our mall with actual shoppers in it! ( ok..I think I was in every store at the mall today....the hunt for a decent pair of jeans continues...)

Target is changing many things: their coupon policy, the percentage off of the dollar spot, and their customer service.

Really stupid move on their part.
