However, my cashier told me that he could only use 1 Target coupon for the whol order and that he had just gotten in trouble for using more than one. (I thought that was ridiculous because then what the heck is the point of the mailers then?) I had to choose which Target coupon I wanted to use. I'm hoping he was just confused.
I probably should have gone to CS to complain but I was not having a good day and just went with it. | You should be able to use one of each coupon per transaction. So, you should have been able to use one Charmin and one Bounty.

I went to buy 3 packages of steaks, 4 cans of soup, and 2 Renuzit - all with Target coupons. They told me about the change and said I was free to do separate transactions, but they insisted EACH item would have to be done completely separately. Since a guy behind me had just unloaded his huge load on the belt, I had them void it, and went to another cashier who had no one waiting.
The cashier was not happy with doing each thing separately and had problems with each coupon not wanting to scan. Another cashier came over and tried saying that if the coupon wouldn't scan, I couldn't use it. Then a supervisor came over and said since they were Target coupons, they could key it in. So we did each thing separately and the cashier took forever to do each transaction. Meanwhile, people behind me were upset at me for using the coupons and tying up the line and huffed off.
When the cashier got to the Renuzit, she said I could not use the MFG and the Target coupon. By this point, I was completely frustrated with the whole experience and told them never mind even though I knew it was not true. (The supervisor backed the cashier up on that.)
I wouldn't have minded as much if I could have done 1 meat, 1 Renuzit, and 1 soup deal at a time. To limit it to completely ONE Target coupon per transaction is a bit much. | Doesn't doing one transaction at a time mean doing the one transaction and then going back to the end of the line to do your next transaction and so on? I don't like the new Target coupon policy any more than you do, but doing a whole bunch of individual transactions at one time is not fair to the other people in line. We're pros at this, we're supposed to set an example how to coupon and tying up a register and getting supervisors over is not how I want to shop. Just my 2 cents. |

| Re: Verbiage on Target printables - please don't post about using more than one per transaction Ok here is a new one that the Customer Service associate came up with yesterday about using Target Q's. Even if you do seperate transactions because you have more than one of the same item and you have Target Q's for each item you cannot use the second Target Q you have in your second order because the Bar Code #'s are the same and you have already used that # because you are limited to 1 of the same Target Q. I said then why does Target allow you to print more than one of the same Q from their website. Of course no answer to that. I think she did not want to ring up seperate orders and was hoping I would just buy everything without the Q's. Well I called Guest Relations from the store to discuss the problem. Of course they called the Customer Service associate right on the spot and told her that I COULD use more than one Target Q for the same item but it had to be in seperate transactions. Well needless to say she treated me like dirt the whole time she rang my orders up since she was told by Corporate that she was wrong. She took it personally and the whole time I was nice to her. I have written to Target this morning with my complaint reference # letting them know what happened after they called her. I really think this does it for me with shopping at Target. I have never had this much trouble anywhere else and if there is a problem atleast the other stores employee's are polite about it. She treated me as if I were stealing something which I'm not. It is their Corporate policy to accept these Q's with Manu Q's so I can't help it if it ends up being cheap or free.

I gather, then, that this policy has changed. If that is the case, perhaps we should remove or update this sticky? If I hadn't happened to read my Target q yesterday when in line, I wouldn't have noticed. | I haven't printed any of their q's lately but this thread is for internet printables only, not hangtags or booklets. We'll see if they decide to drop the wording altogether. |
