Default Free Rayovac alkaline batteries - current printable is not valid (wrong size)

I'm restarting this thread to clarify some things.

Target has Rayovac alkaline batteries for $1 in the dollar spot near the front of the store. The alkaline batteries are AA-2 and AAA-2 and come in a blue package. Target also has Rayovac heavy duty batteries for $1. These are sizes AA-4 and AAA-4 and come in a red package. Heavy duty batteries are NOT the same as alkaline batteries. If your coupon says "alkaline batteries", that's what you have to buy.

There were $1/1 or $1/2 Rayovac alkaline battery coupons in the 10-12-08 S, 11-23-08 S, and 12-07-08 S inserts. According to the database, there are no size restrictions on them.

The current printable at the Rayovac website is not valid. It is for AA-4 and AAA-4 alkaline batteries. The dollar spot alkaline batteries are a smaller size.

    There's a printable Disney Sleeping Beauty+Rayovac rebate here: http://www.rayovac.com/promo/Sleepin...ine_Rebate.pdf

The coupon has changed. On 11/28/08 the coupons that I printed stated:

"Save $1.00 when you purchase any pack of Rayovac® Alkaline or Hearing Aid Batteries
This coupon good only on product indicated and all purchase requirements must be met. Offer not valid when combined with any other offer. Other use constitutes fraud. Not to be doubled. Offer cannot be combined with any other rebate or offer. ONE COUPON (ANY KIND) PER PURCHASE. Consumer pays any sales tax. Void if reproduced, transferred, taxed and regulated, or restricted by law. Retailer: Spectrum Brands will pay the face value of this coupon plus 8˘ if submitted in compliance with the offer terms and Rayovac coupon policy (Rayovac - More Power for Your Money(TM)). Good only in USA. Cash Value 1/100˘. Remit to: Rayovac, CMS Dept. 12800, One Fawcett Dr., Del Rio, TX
© 2008 SBI ® Registered trademark of Spectrum Brands, Inc., or one of its subsidiaries."

Are the previously printed coupons still valid or not?

Yep, they changed the wording on the coupon and it previously said ANY.

Also, my Target has AAA and AA alkaline's in the blue package. The C's and D's are only the Zinc something-or-other in the red packages.

I am only buying the blue alkaline packages with the original coupons

It has been scrutinized by three cashiers and all have found that it IS a valid coupon.

If it doesn't expire until 2009, there's nothing wrong with using it. It's still a valid coupon.

I've had the same (rude) girl come help my cashiers at Target but they always put it through even though she says "someone is checking into this coupon".

I have been using the "any" coupon as well. I had no idea it was changed on the site. Since the coupon isn't expired, it is still a valid coupon.

Default Anyone had problem with Rayovac cpn? It beeped and mgr said it is for 4pk??

Anyone had problem with Rayovac cpn? It beeped and mgr said it is for 4pk??
I have Rayovac cpns $1 off 2 that expire 12/31 so I went TG last night hoping to get some free batteries. The ones at dollar bins marked down to .50 each, as the cashier scanned the 1st cpn, it beeped. She said the cpn is for 4 pk batteries like in the picture not 2pk batteries like the one in the dollar bins?? Then she called a mgr (trainee), mgr said the same thing (cpn is for 4pk not 2pk). Also she said something about "you can't have it for free, it cost more than that". It was after 10pm closing time, so I didn't buy them and just checked out with some holiday clearance.
Did anyone had this issue or contact Rayovac corporate about it? I know the cpn expire today and I don't know if I should go to the same TG and try again or even if I contact corporate, whether I'll get the answer today or not...
I do have IP $1 off 1 but I'm afraid to use them as they might say the same thing...
I also have $1 off 1 mq also but I believe it has the same pics too. I would like to hear from you guys who used the cpns recently.
    Thank you.

I also just talked with a rep at Rayovac and she said if the word on the cpn says for ANY it should work for any size but if the register beeps then go with them, maybe it is for 4 packs. I told her that if the cpn only works for 4 packs then the word "Any" shouldn't be there and it is misleading to me. She said thank you for letting us know (and didn't take well).
Has anyone had problem with using this cpn?? This expires today and I was bought bunch off ebay hoping to use them to get free batteries...
    Thank you.

Target registers often beep at perfectly good coupons, and some personnel will then start making up reasons why it beeped. It's frustrating. If the coupon says "any", it is valid on the 2-pack. Contacting Target corporate may or may not do you any good.

My response to "we can't give it to you for free" is usually something like, "You're not giving it to me for free. I'm paying for it with this piece of paper. You will be receiving $0.50 for this item from Rayovac."

I know I wanted to say that "you are not giving it for free, I maybe getting them for free but you get reimbursed the cpn amount" However I was flustered and tired so didn't bother. I wish I had said that to "educate" them.
