Yes, they scan your merchandise and a note will pop up on their screen to scan and hand you the GC. You can't use it to pay for the order but for a future order. HTH!
I am new to this and have never done a gift card promo at Target.. How does it work? Do you add the gift card into your order and the register subtracts the cost? or do you just do your order as normal with your items and they hand you a gift card at the end if its on promo? I want to make sure I do this right. Thanks.

I think Target GC deals are only one GC per transaction, so if you are buying for multiple same GC deals, you need to do multiple transactions. Otherwise, you will only get one Target GC instead of multiple GCs.

This is only true if the ad states "one per transaction" or "one per customer" (not sure of the exact verbage). The current Glade deal IS one per transaction, but many other promotions weren't limited to one per transaction (thinking specifically of the Dog Chow from a few weeks ago). When in doubt, read the ad carefully... and double check against HCW posts.
