HOT I will never shop at the Greenbrier Ches, VA Target Ever Again! (4 Item Coupon Limit!!!!)

--- I had my deals all worked out (Band-aids w/ $5/3 Target Q and $1 Manf q's, Revlon with $3/1 Target q and $2/1 Manf q's). I was nervous that they wouldn't let me do the deals if they figured out the overage, but I was hoping for a good cashier... didn't even get through the transaction - my q's were questioned because I had 9 Band-Aids - I was told that the manager of this partiular store (Greenbrier, Chesapeake, VA) only accepts 4 coupons for 4 of the same item! (You cannot get 5 Band-Aids with coupon for each one, you can only use 4 coupons on 4 items!!!) Once I heard that I was agaist! I said, "I've never heard of any Target that limited the number of coupons for the same item like that!" The reply: "That is our manager's policy, 4 coupons for 4 of the same items, you can buy as many items as you want, but you can only use 4 coupons for 4 of the same item." I said, "What a great way to lose money! Please void my whole transaction, I will go to another Target, I will NEVER shop at this Target ever again!" And I meant it! I put my coupons back in my binder and left empty handed! Thankfully there is another Target (Chesapeake Square Mall, Chesapeake, VA) that is closer to my home and I've never been hasseled with coupons there! It's also a bit closer to my home... Wow, what a STUPID manager... I really want to ask Target Corp about this one!
    ...I'm backkkk!

So I decided to write to Target Corp, I wonder if I will hear back on this one....:

Dear Target Corp, Today I went shopping at the" Chesapeake East 1316 Greenbrier Pkwy Chesapeake, VA 23320" Target Store. I had all my deals worked out, presented my coupons and near the end of the transaction the man checking me out said he would have to get approval to accept my coupons. This I understood because there were a few items that were going to be going to be free/ have overage after coupon. Well, when the young lady came to approve my coupons she didn't even address the coupon in question, she said, "Woah, How many coupons is she trying to use? She can only use four coupons per four of the same item!" (I was going to buy 9 boxes of Band-aids and had 9 coupons, one for each box.) I was totally SHOCKED, when I said, "I have never heard of any Target limiting to four items!" She said, "That is our managers policy. You can buy as many items as you want, but you can only use four coupons on four of them." I was SHOCKED at this! I then said, "What a great way to lose money!!! (Doesn't this manager understand that the manufacturer of the coupon pays Target back plus $0.08!?!?)I then said, "Please void my whole transaction. Now that I know this I will NEVER shop at this Target EVER AGAIN." And I put my coupons back into my binder and left the store empty handed. The store lost about $30 today as a result of this, and will lose all my business in the future. I cannot understand why this particular manager has such a terrible coupon policy! Doesn't he/she know that people are looking to save money/ gas and want to get more than 4 of the same items per day? I find this policy to absolutely ridiculous, and I wanted to alert Target Corp about this manager who I'm sure is losing hundreds of dollars a week with such a policy. (Maybe more!) This store has lost my business completely. I will be alerting all of my friends and family (including coupon boards I am member of online) to avoid this Target store at all costs. I am very upset at the treatment I received at this store - horrible customer service! When I said, "Please void my whole transaction." The young lady immediately showed by her actions that she was HAPPY I was not going to buy ANYTHING- she was so smug that I was so put off by the coupon policy that she, before I had even walked away from the register was saying to the young man, "Here give me all these things, I will put them away for you." -Acting as if I couldn't hear her... What a horrible way to treat customers! If you would like to speak with me further on this please feel free to call me. ...A person needs more than four items at a time, can you imagine!?! I'm going to need much more than just four boxes of band-aids... I could understand a limit if there was a particular HOT sale on a popular item that everyone wanted, but 4 a day, no matter what item!?! That just does not make sense! I would much rather go to another store (Wal-Mart) and get 20 Band-aids in one trip than go to Target every day for 5 days - can you see how insane that would be? With gas prices the way there are now?!?! I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. The more I think about this managers policy of 4 coupons per same item, per day, the more I wonder how many hundreds/ thousands of dollars this store has already lost, and will lose in the future by turning away all serious coupon users.
    Sincerely, K--- M-----

I HATE shopping in that area & will NEVER go back again.

Geez, why did you go through the hassle of writing all that? Why not just call? I called the other day about a Target not allowing me to use their store coupons in conjunction with the MQ. I was more or less told to go back to the store that they'd straighten the manager out before I arrived.

Another thing........when writing to a company it's best to keep the letter as brief as possible, chances are it will actually get READ if you do. Even I didn't read the second post.
