Where did you get the ten Progresso coupons? I printed two online, but it says I have reached my max.

Yea! Just got back from Target- I nearly passed out when I saw a clearance end cap FULL of Fusion Razors for $4.24! I grabbed them all - counted them & then counted my coupons- I got 43! Can you say AWESOME! -I also bought 4 Tides, 6 Revlon Nail files (w/ $3/2 Target Coupon and $1/1 Manufacture coupons- so overage). I was in awe! These coupons expire today- and I was able to use all my extras! Sweet!!!

43 Fusion Razors $4.24 ($4.00 coupon) = $.24 each!!!
6 Nail Files 2:$1.47, 4: $1.27 ($3/2 Target Revlon Coupon & $1/1 Manf Coupon = $6.00 overage)
4 Tides $.97 ($1.00 coupon = $0.12 overage)

Subtotal before coupons: $186.20
Subtotal after coupons: $4.20
Taxes $9.32
Total: $13.51

It says "You saved $190.02" at the bottom of my receipt!

I think this was one of my best shops ever!!!

P.S. They also had over 40 Venus (Purple) razors for $4.24 as well, I thought of using the $4 off coupons I got from VocalPoint, but I decided 43 razors was a good haul for one day :)

Lucky you!! I saw the same thing today at Target...but OF COURSE, I'd used up all those coupons. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Ok i did the cereal deal. it was still a good deal but had issues as i was using foodstamps to pay.

the register on the first transaction would NOT let me pay all in foodstamps no matter what the gal did. i owed 8.47 and had to pay 3.47 on foodstamps and $5 cash. got the $5 gift card. the manager was trying to tell me that it is the GOVERNMENT that wont let them let me buy it all on foodstamps cause of the gift card? uh come again? why does the governement allow RR and ECBS then? hmmm? anyways. still a good deal as i used $1 off kellogs cereal IP coupons on all of them.

2nd transaction i owed 8.47 again. used the $5 gift card from first transaction and when i tried to pay again i had to pay some in cash, 1.75 and the rest on foodstamps! got a $5 gift card. cashier and i were kinda confused at this point. still a good deal used $1 kellogs ips on them all again

third transaction. used $1 target IPS on the tea, and i had 3 x $1 off manufacturer peelies for the pyramid teas. so 9 cents each. used the $5 gift card from the 2nd transaction. now this was the weird part. it let me pay COMPLETELY with foodstamps on THIS purchase?!?!? cashier and i had no clue. used $1 kellogs ips on all
have a $5 gift card left.

Transaction #1 is easy for me to explain: The deals are a little misleading because you dont get a "free $5 GC w/purchase". What Target does is basically gives you an in-store discount of $5 off the items and then charges you for the GC. Thats the only way cashiers can ring these deals up w/o having to call management over every time someone buys them. So the government sees this as you buying cereal for $3.47 and a GC for $5 which you had to pay cash for.

Transactions 2 & 3 are a bit confusing but it looks like you ended up paying some tax there. In #2 I think you paid it in cash but in #3 I think your Target IPs paid it for you. In both of these trans. the $5 GC you used paid for the $5 GC you were getting but I think using the GC triggered the register to charge tax at least on part of the transaction. I know you dont get charged tax on FS cards but Target registers are not set up right to handle FS, IMO. On 2 & 3 did you use your FS first or after the GC?

the foodstamps were after the gift card but before cash. i totally understood things on the FIRST transaction. and what you say makes total sense. except that it charges you for the gift card but then takes the gift card off. seems like thier cash registers are VERY confused. last week the cash registers didnt think chicken progresso soup was FOOD!?! LOL

hmm the tax thing makes sense. when i bought the progresso soup with and without gift cards. on the gift card transaction i was charged like $1.10 so i can see that it somehow messed things up and had me pay tax. lot of glitched with this new Target of mine. :shrug7:
