Announcement: Target officially declining $5/$25 TOY coupon - some declining ALL Target printables

I am not trying to defend the bad apples here. But target really is grasping at straws here. The truth is Target has very poor controls regarding the way the process coupons, any coupons, store or manufacturer. They are trying to implement changes but are doing so very sloppily. I don't understand how every other store has been able to figure out how to program their registers to help them curb coupon fraud and Target can't. That's just amazing for such a large corporation with merchandising as their business.

I emailed Target telling them I'm sorry about the tampering, but I enjoy using their printables with manufacturer coupons for great deals at Target.

What I found funny, is I did a search (on ebay) for Target coupons (I want to get my hands on some of the $5/3 insert coupons) One of the links, ebay's links, was to the $5 pampers wipes/diapers combo pdf. There's several people auctioning these off, and the link is right there.

I wondered about that toy coupon when I saw it hanging up in the checkout today. I remembered getting that coupon here at HCW and was really confused as to why it was no longer being taken. Thanks for the info.

That is just awful that someone would tamper like that. I would have been so ticked to get to the register to find out that the coupon was not eligible to be used.

NOW i understand why the manager tripped out on me about my coupons. thank GOD my target $5 for 3 is a newspaper coupon and NOT an internet! i would be STEAMED if they refused THAT one!!

i called MY target and amber the CSM said that the ONLY printable that should be being refused is the one that was altered. otherwise they are supposed to accept their own coupons. i am sorry everyone who is having issues. kinda explains things from the other day

got this Q through HCW or off their site but they say it is a fraudulent coupon and they will not honor it. Has anyone else had problems?

didn't have problems using the target q for pop and silk soy milk this week. That is awful about the toy coupon, i thought that may come in handy if i needed it, oh well. I wanted to use the thomas coupon at tru too, but missed the boat on that, guess for those types of coupons it's best to not wait even if they do have a late expiry date.

I tried to use the buy Pampers and wipes and get a $5 gift card coupon yesterday and they wouldn't accept that one either?? The sign posted at the store here had both coupons (toy and pampers) on it...What I don't understand is if they know what the coupon is supposed to be for why can't they honor it for that??
