So NOT HAPPY with Target!! (rant)

And I usually love Target!
Last Sunday I purchased lots of stuff all of which had coupons and many had one Target and one Manufac. coup. Everything rang through with no problems. Occasionally there was a beep but then the cashier pressed a few buttons on the register and kept on scanning. In the end, the final price seemed a bit high but it was busy so I packed my stuff in my car and studied my receipt. Nearly HALF of all the coupons did not ring in!!! That was over $9!!!! I brought my receipt to CS and we were able to work everything out just fine but it took a good extra 15 minutes to square everything away. I figure maybe it was some kind of glitch and no big deal since everything worked out in the end.
Today I wanted to finish up some deals with my coupons at Target. And it happened AGAIN!!! First, I was told that I could not use a Manufacturers BOGOFree coup with 2 target coups together because the BOGOFree only counts as ONE purchase so I couldn't use a coupon on a free item (We have all heard THAT ONE!!) Then three of my coupons did not even ring in!!!

I am SO DONE with Target! I can understand when when things dont work correctly but when coupons are routinely overlooked by the register (not by any neglegance by the cashier) and I cannot help but think Target is trying to get-away with something unjust!

Has this happened to anyone else?

That's a new one on me. So you're saying that you know for sure the cashier scanned them all and k1'd them through, but the register didn't deduct them? Wild!

Exactly! It is crazy. I always watch to make sure all my coups are scanned because some cashiers just dont really care or miss something. I watched as everything scanned and still they did not show up on my receipt!

There has been a system update, and a lot of people are having the same issue. It isn't an isolated incident.

I loved shopping at Target before couponing, now it's at the bottom of my list (even below Wal-mart). I've never had a problem-free trip whenever I shop there. They either told me I can only use one like coupon, something beeps, or that I can't use a Target coupon + mnf coupon.

i stopped going to target after the fiasco with the lysol nutra air.. it was the BOGO packs.. i had a BOGO q'.. purchased 2 packages.. and wouldnt let me use the q... ugh

interesting! i had $5 worth of coupons not ring through at target yesterday. i checked the receipt in the parking lot and took it back in to CS. the good thing is that the new way the receipts read, it is easier to find which coupons got missed. well, for me, apparently not for them. it took a good 20 minutes to straighten things out and for some reason the CS person called over a security guard and made me explain things to him?! this is aFTer she went back to the register and made the cashier pull out all my coupons so they could count them. i guess i looked threatening with my small baby?? (FTR, i was very pleasant the entire time, so i really have no clue why the security guard was needed.)

A security gaurd??!! You mean the ones who gaurd their doors so no one who is shoplifting can escape? Wtf....

I went last night and used 8 q's with no problem. I try to always watch the screen to make sure they deduct correctly and I only hand over a few at a time so that I know which ones scan and which ones don't

I honestly don't understand why they intimidate people with the security guards. They can't do squat legally. They can't carry handcuffs, etc and they can't really detain you even in many states....
