Since I am very new to couponing, I am using the coupon organizer from Financial Peace University. It included these labels: Breads/Cereals, Pasta/Rice, Meat/Fish, Canned Foods, Beverages, Desserts, Paper Products, Personal Products, Toiletries, Pet Products, Dry Cleaning, Music, Breakfast Foods, Dairy, Frozen Foods, Baking, Snacks, Cleaning Supplies, Food Storage, Cosmetics, Health Care, Baby Products, Auto, Restaurants, Gift Certificates, and Miscellaneous. I think some of these labels are silly, such as the music one, and have made up a few of my own instead of miscellaneous, but this system is working okay for now.

I'm just starting. I found a plastic binder at Wal Mart. It is 8 1/2 X 11 size. Half of each page has a pocket while behind the pocket is a place for full sheet. It's perfect for putting the clipped coupons in the small pocket and unclipped coupons in the space behing. It wouldn't work for some of you that are using 5 inch binders but for me just starting out it has been a great organizational tool without feeling overwhelmed.

I too just started couponing and have a great teacher (my SIL who I blame my obsession for now..LOL) Anyway, we both use 3 ring binders and baseball card pages. She has a big zipper binder, but i found a plastic binder at a local super market for $1 and 10pgs for $1 (yay) at first i didn't have many coupons, but now after 4 weeks they have really added up (which still amazes me b/c i have used sooooo many already) I ended up getting another binder so now i have 2, one for food and one for all other products. They are organized alphabetically by brand (ie. general mills, huggies, pampers, yopliat, ect.) It makes it really easy to find a coupon quickly and i can see all of them at a glance. it seems genius to me!

I can't find baseball card pages anywhere. Where did you find them and what section of the store are they in?

I know that the baseball card binders and pages are near the baseball and other collectors' cards. At walmart, this is near the tobacco at the front registers.

I've only been doing this a short time, so I don't have huge stashes. Right now I've got my coupons sorted alphabetically and kept in a small (approx 4x6) photo album. This fits in my purse. I also have a cover from a small calendar book (sort of like a checkbook cover) that I use for my "shopping list" coupons ~ I tuck them into the clear plastic pockets and can access them easily as I shop. The others in the photo album are along in case of any unexpected deals, but most times I don't access those while shopping.

I have seen the baseball card pages at Walmart in the photo book section and in the office supply section. They usually are buried under other types of sheet protectors and page dividers, so you may have to dig around to find them.

I have a large 4" wide 3 ring binder. I use card holder sheets and page protectors. I organize my coupons by alphabet. I used to do it by cat. but I didn't like it that way for me. I put any refund forms in the rite alphabet section also ( just easier for me). When a rebate was sent in I photocopy everything and keep a copy in the back until I get the check.

I carry a large sectioned holder thingy (I think for checks or something) I have each section labeled by store - since I shop at 3/4 places at a time. I also keep my ECBs and any catalina's in there.

That is the way I organize my things.... may not be good for some but seems to work for me.

I also use the 3-ring notebook with baseball card holders. Last week I bought a small pair of scissors & tied them to the top ring of the notebook with a strand of ribbon. I slip them into the inside pocket of the notebook. That way I always have them with my coupons, whether I'm at home or out and about.

Years ago when my son was small & collecting X-men cards, I bought a super big box of baseball card dividers--Ultra Pro cards, 100 to a box. He stopped collecting before the box was used up, so I'm putting them to use now with coupons. I can't remember where I found the box, though--I was thinking it was at Sams, but they don't show up online.

Thank you. I am going to look there. I hope I can find it. My coupons are getting out of control!
