I have frozen Egg Beaters -- that's about the same thing, isn't it? I didn't have any trouble at all, and I froze them straight away in the carton.

I have frozen most of the liquid egg cartons (Better n Eggs, Egg beaters, whatever they have at Costco...). They freeze fine. I usually thaw on defrost setting for microwave, since I do large quantities (I make 50 dozen muffins at a time). It helps to shake them to mix and break up the frozen portions in intervals while they thaw. After thawed I've used them in baked goods, quiches, omelettes, no problem.

I can say that frozen eggs, in any beat up form, freeze just fine. USDA has been shipping liquified frozen eggs to schools all over the country for years. I used some last year that had been frozen for at least 2 years in a deep storage freezer and they were as fresh as if we had cracked them.

Trick is - add a little lemon juice or citric acid!

Kraft singles is oil based, so I have seen that happen. As an extra measure of protection, wrap the cheese in it's package ( I am assuming you are freezing the package, and not the individual slices) and wrap several layers of saran wrap around it.

What's happening is that plastic is permeable, so freezer are goes through the outer package, and then the cheese is wrapped fairly loosely in the individual wraps, so by wrapping an outer layer of plastic around it multiple times, you're blocking the air and preventing those edges to dry out.

I don't know about cherries, but I put grapes in the freezer all the time. I like them better frozen than fresh! As for cantaloupes, I haven't done it, but I know you can get them frozen at Sam's (in the bag of mixed fruit), so I don't see why you couldn't do it at home.

i have frozen Bing Cherries with no problems. About 6 weeks ago WM had Bing's for 99 cents a pound! I stocked up, i believe I got 12 pounds! I halved and pitted the cherries, flash froze them then put them in freezer bags. I make jam for christmas, and I buy fruit when I get a good deal! I couldnt pass up Bing's for 99 cents a pound!!

Yes, you are supposed to be able to freeze them right in the can. Honestly, I've not had good luck doing this but apparently lots of other folks have had no problems at all.

I've frozen and thawed in frig with some success. The trick seems to be in thawing them without warming them up. But, if you are going to use them in something else...like making a crust for a veggie bake...they freeze and thaw well.

The only ones that have problems are the flaky layer ones. They aren't flaky or layer-y when they thaw.
If your frozen breads don't come out nice...fry them in butter or oil and serve with jelly, honey, syrup...

And if your bread dough won't rise, make balls, press them into circles, and fry. Kids actually like this better than bread...and you can knead in raisins, apples, whatever you need to use up and consider them sort of fritters.
