    Default Unilever wording on qs

Is this new? In today's RP, the Unilever qs have the same wording as the P&G ones. Maximum of 4 identical coupons allowed in same shopping trip. Except its not in bold or red.

On the Vaseline BOGO coupon it was in bold print.

Actually I think a lot of MQ's will move toward that restriction, they're trying to reign in the abuse of coupons and reduce the sales of coupons too, they're willing to do whatever it takes.

And this could well be the result of stores and manufacturers having discussions about how to control shelf clearing?

I don't see it as a bad thing.

I don't either. You can still get 8 items with 4 qs. Just asking if new or I didn't pay attention.

Since there are more people using coupons these days, I think it is a good development. I won't be surprised if other manufacturers follow the trend and all will have the same wording by early next year.

We may also be seeing more and more restrictions regarding using coupons on items intended for resale. Manufacturers are now protecting their interests, they do not want to pay for their items and hand it on a silver platter to resellers who use coupons to buy items for resale purposes. If this is not loud and clear, I don't know what other terms they will start putting on their coupons to deter wholesale buying of items while using coupons.
