Default How do u calculate laundry soap?

Do u buy laundry soap by the ounce or load? How much per load is a stock price? Ive been getting the 2.00 whisk that 32 loads but I'm wondering if I could do better with a bigger bottle.

For me, the bottom line is least amount of money out of pocket approach. In other words, I'd rather get a small bottle free or cheap than pay more for a larger bottle.

The way I look at it, I can get more for less in the long run. I tried to explain this to a woman 30 years ago who insisted that using the coupon for the larger size was better, even though I got several small bottles free after using my coupons. Free is always better and if you prefer to look at cost per ounce, I don't think you'll find the bigger bottle is the way to go with your coupons in most cases.

This is basically my approach as well.

For Wisk I generally pay aprx $3 a bottle. If I was in an area that had good catalina deals...I would expect to get it cheaper....AND watch the fine print on the wisk...not sure what size oz wise you have to get with the newest coupons.

I can get ERA for about $2 bucks..so that tends to be what I get the most of. Tide I spend about $4 or so.

The only exception may be if you have to get unscented kinds..then you may be more limited on what you can get..and the bigger might be better.

Of course free is the best. No matter how small the bottle. Zero times a billion bottles is still zero! But when u are shelling out 2 bucks a bottle for 32 loads I am wondering if the 100 load bottle for 6 bucks is not the better deal.

Is there a rule of thumb tho? Like .05 per load or .07 per load? That is a stock price?

At the example you give, $6 for 100 loads vs $2 for 32 loads, you're one fourth of a penny difference per load in actual cost, the 'cheaper' by 1/4th of a penny per load is the 100 load bottle, so it's a wash price wise.

For me, at that point, if I was running out and needed it, I'd probably get the larger bottle and sit back and hope to find a better deal and stock up before I'm forced to buy again at a price I may not like.

As to price per load, I've never shopped that way for anything (with the exception of paper goods - price per roll because I don't usually get them free) perhaps others who shop that way will be able to give you a price they use per load.

I often find the bigger bottles though $12 bucks or more. Might be my area though.

With my stockpile I'm to the point...that to keep it going I just do it this way.

Era with a $1.00 coupon (or .50 cent coupon that doubles) I am for aprx $2 a bottle.

For tide I ONLY use $2.00/1 coupons. I never use the other ones now. When I get $2.00/1 coupons I find the cheapest bottle I can find that is not mountain spring scent.

For Wisk I only use $2 or better coupons. Again looking for a bottle that is priced less then $5 bucks a bottle.

For All I use the $1.00/1...generally looking for a bottle that is aprx $3 a bottle or less.

Cheer always seems over priced so I haven't gotten it for a long time.

Purex basically has to be free for me to get it.

This really depends on the sale prices and deals where you live. I will usually pay about $2 for 32 to 40 loads not matter the kind. For me if its more than that I dont usually buy for I know I can do that good or even a little better at times.

Awhile back I was about to get 32 load purex for .99 for I had some good coupons and it was on sale. That is about the best price for me ever..

To get the best price you cant be brand loyal at all.(there is some that I dont buy tho)...you really have to see what the bottom line price is for you where you live and for what stores you have to shop at.

I'm a HUGE fan of Wisk. I've never paid more than $2 for 32 loads and think, out of all the cheaper detergents, it smells the best. :)

I had never used wisk till now. I find that it works just find. I bought 3 of the 29 load bottles at the Dollar Store, that were $4 each, using 3 $2 off Qs. I have been into couponing for about three months. But I throught that was a pretty good deal. But I could be wrong, since I am new to this.
