Anyone signed up with CDD.com?

You have to give them your cell phone # and they text you the deals each day. Anyone know anything about them or other sites like it and how many texts you get every month?

Can I trust sites like this?

Personally, I trust NO ONE with my cell number. Unless one has unlimited texting & unlimited minutes, it's not a risk I would advise taking. Even if I were to take the 2 hours to read their terms of service & disclosure/privacy agreement, etc., I wouldn't trust them to keep my info secure. Even some of the big well known companies can't keep my info secure (e.g. Walgreens, Chase Visa).

I just wouldn't go that route when the deals are so readily available without taking such a chance. But that's just me.

I now have a new cell phone and I don't give it out to anyone but family, friends and Mugalina.

I still keep my old cell phone number to give out to companies..cause I don't care what kind of stupid stuff they text me with there...it's a pay as you go..and I figure $10 a year to keep my nice cell phone free of spammy text is good to me. Even then...I wouldn't hand it out to folks like that. I wouldn't want my cell phone littered with stuff that I may or may not even ever use.

Thanks! That's kinda what i thought. This was actually for a friend of mine who emailed me this morning asking my opinion on it. She's fairly new to couponing. Personally, I don't have free text, so I would never even consider it. But i thought maybe some of you may have an opinion.
