I know this isn't exactly a coupon deal but AMC theaters is ending their movie watcher program and has started a new rewards program called AMC stubs. With school ending and the summer movie season starting to go in full force I just signed up for it this past weekend and think it is a great program that I wanted to share with everyone on HCW. There is an annual fee of $12 but given how often my wife and I go to the movies as well as take our kids, I know I will make that back very quickly and be way ahead by the time the 12 months is up.

Here are the highlights:

• $10 AMC Stubs Reward for every $100 you spend
• Free upgrades on concessions any day, anytime
• Online ticket purchase fees waived
• Access to your online ticket stub collection

On top of the 10% back you get every time you spend $100 the free concession upgrades and online ticket purchase fees being waived are huge money savers. This past weekend I used it to get a medium popcorn and drink to split with my kids and it was more than enough for us at the cost of small sizes

I know this program may not be for everyone but for those who do go to movies and go to AMC it is a great deal - I did the math and I should be getting the $10 credit after every 2nd or 3rd movie depending on if we are with the kids or not and how much concessions we buy (if any). The great thing about the $10 credit is you can use it for anything you can purchase in the theater (tickets, concessions, gift cards, etc)

I am thinking about buying it in 2 weeks. Does this mean I can buy a small popcorn and drink, and then if i finish it I can go get a medium popcorn and drink for free? I don't get the upgrade thing.

Once you're enrolled, the upgrade happens ANYTIME you buy any concessions...example; if you 'buy' a small popcorn, it AUTOMATICALLY upgrades to a medium (but you pay the price of a small!!!) same thing for drinks...pay for small, get a medium...pay for a medium you get a large and so on!!!

I HIGHLY recommend ANYONE that frequents the movies at ANY AMC to join!!! It is PHENOMINAL!!!!!!! My BF and I literally go to the movies constantly...we've already earned three $10 AMC stubs rewards since the new program began!!! And with the upgrades in the concessions...we've already made our $12 back X 7

Really? I didn't see that anywhere when I signed up for the Stubs program. I will need to go back and see about getting the $12 waived. Thanks for the tip
