Ever have a moment when you forget that not everyone coupons?

Has it happened to you? You're having a conversation with someone you know...relative, co-worker, neighbor...when you suddenly say something that only "we" would understand!

Well...it happened yesterday!!

My daughter and her fiance were visiting. We haven't really had a chance to talk about their "after the wedding" plans, so we took the opportunity to ask what they were planning. They both seem to have gypsy blood in them, so I knew they weren't planning to stay here. (They just moved up here to Ohio from Texas in October) So, they tell us that they've decided on Florida.

Without thinking...I immediately say, "But they don't have doubles!"

Both of them looked at me like I had beans sprouting from my ears. And the fiance said, "double what"

My husband and I both said "coupons!" At least he knew what I meant!!

You know...we talk about coupons on this board 24/7...I spend several hours each day dealing with coupons in some manner (trading, filing, reading posts, shopping, etc.)...but I sometimes forget that other people don't even think about them!!!

Oh yes. My sister and my mom both look at me with multiple heads. My sister just doesnt want to tak the time to do it and my mom just doesnt care anymore. So I have to remind myself that they have no idea what I am talking about.

I do that sometimes with my sister. But she pretends to coupon. She will do it for a week then get bored then a few months later go back to doing it for a week and so on.

I've noticed myself doing that lately. I work in a grocery store, so sometimes I'll see something on sale and say to one of my co-workers "ooo I have a coupon for that!" And they just give me a look, like they're thinking "umm soo?" LOL
