What was your OOP before tax
So today I hit my local grocery store for the good deal they had going on the Yoplait singles combined with the .40/6from a couple of weeks ago and at the end of the check out I realized I paid an EXTRA .05!!!
The cashier said it was the taxes on my coupons! Not for nothing, but I was a little pissed. I would give the person in front of me a nickel all day long, but giving the govt a nickel just because I used a coupon!!! Really?
This is the first time I had used this store, I have 3 other stores that double and are close to my house that don't tax me for my Q's but now I'm just sad about that store bc sometimes they have GREAT deals but I think if they're going to charge me for my coupon it's not really worth it then, right?
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zep 3:170049 coupons used $70.29 saved in 2012

You came to KS, eh? Lovely state, isn't it?
If I know I'm going to use enough coupons to at least cover most of my gas, I'll go to MO. I'd actually rather pay more in gas than to pay taxes on my coupons. It's an anger issue I'm working on.![]()

Are you designing your very own god...or is God designing His very own you?

I don't see why you are angry. Your cashier was mistaken. You were not taxed on your coupons. You were taxed for your purchase. A coupon, as we all know, is a form of payment. Would you be upset over a nickel of taxes if you paid for all your purchases by credit card? Or greenbacks?
Well those anger issues explain the PM I gotI agree, I love going to MO to visit my folks, no tax on food here in IA, but on everything else.
I can pay literally pennies for my transactions at Wags that cost me a couple bucks here.
OP, that is weird that they charge you that at one store and not at another![]()
Raising children(especially teens) is like being pecked to death by a chicken
In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.
I think every state has pros and cons when it comes to coupons. For instance, no tax on coupons or food here in FL. Or pain relievers. But no doubles/triples. Ever. *sigh*
I'm kind of new to this...can I ask what the Walmart overage is? Thanks!!
WM overage is what you get when you use a coupon with a higher value than the item price. For instance, using a $1 coupon on an item that's $.97. Some WM's had issues with that in the past. But the new coupon policy says it's okay. The "overage" would then come off the total of your order so you'd need another product/s to absorb it. HTH!
