    Default Prepaid Cell $25.00 w/300 air time w/unlimited net/texting.

In the past I have had Tmobile, Verizon, and Sprint all tell me they could budget my cell, none that ever lived up to my ideal budget. I now am on Virginmobileusa prepaid plan. Doing a lot of repeating myself lately, but I was in shock to see my cell phone go way down. This is a prepaid phone w/ no contract, only $25.00 a month! The service piggybacks off of Sprint so its good.
The problem with the Virgin mobile company is you need to pay full cost for the phone equipment.

However I just saw the LG Optimus Droid in a BESTBUY ad for $129.00. Thats a great deal since this phone is normally 249.00.

Hmmm I'll have to check that out! Have a Verizon prepaid right now but it does get expensive since it's 99 cents a day each day you use it... plus the cost of the calls.

I wish more places would offer deals with phones and prepaid plans.. I think they'd get alot more buyers if they did!

    Thanks for the info!

I have this phone, and I have to say it is AWESOME!!!! I got it 2 weeks ago when Radio Shack had it for $150. Been a loyal Virgin Mobile customer for years once I realized that after trying both sprint and ATT that prepaid was the only way I stick to the budget! VM also offers a $40 per month plan if you need more talk minutes and $60 if you want unlimited minutes.... and did I mention this LG Optimus Droid phone is awesome!!! If you're thinking of making a switch, this is a great deal...and nope, don't work for the company, just really really really love my phone and service now that I don't have to choose between talking or eating every month

I am looking into replacing my pay as you go phone. That sounds like a better deal..albeit sprint does not have the greatest service out here. I have a t mobile now and rarely ever drop a call. But I'm getting stupid texts and phone calls..even though the number is on the do not call list..and it eats up my minutes.

I currently pay $25 for about 150 minutes...I can drag that out for a two to three months...but it's getting harder because of the spam texting I'm receiving. I'd also like to be able to make a phone call every once in a while and not feel like i'm killing my minutes so much.

I'd also actually like to be able to text every once in a while...but my current phone it's a joke to attempt it.

How much is it..if you go over the 300 minutes?

How many minutes with the $40 plan? And can you change from one to another if you decide you need a different plan?

We used that service last year, the service is spotty out here in ND though. It was fun to play on the internet on my cell!

This year we downgraded even more, I cant think of the name of the plan now... you have to buy a minimum of $10 card every 4 months to keep the plan activated. I think its 6cents per minute or 8cents per text... One cell phone no home phone for a total of $40 per year. Super thrifty, lol. Now I have the old fancy cell phone and a bare bones nothing plan.

you get 1200 minutes with the $40 plan and unlimited text, email, data and web. The minutes do NOT roll over though, so if you get the 300 or 1200 plan you lose what you don't use at the end of the month. Changing is so easy, just a click of a button online. They have EXCELLENT customer service, and so far, I haven't had any problems with dropped calls and such, except for one weird spot in my building at work, no signal there.

also, if you go over your allotted minutes they're $0.10 each...so I'd try to make sure I got the one I would use all of but no more than each month.

Do you not have to pay a separate Data plan??

NOPE!!!! That's the beauty of it all...the $25, $40 or $60 includes unlimited data, email, text, web, etc....the only limits are the actual talk minutes 300, 1200 or unlimited.

The only "hitch" I see in their pricing is that you pay the full price for the phone up front...whereas with other companies you can get a cool phone for a buck or free, but then you're locked into a contract. With Virgin Mobile, you shoulder the cost of the phone but no contract and the pricing for the phones is really reasonable.

Oh, and if you like blackberries they have those too, but the monthly cost for those is $10 more so those plans are $35, $50 and $70...still really a good price if you ask me.

My daughter has the $25 Virgin plan and I have the $40. Both awesome plans. Only thing my daughter doesn't like is that Virgin locked their phones so you can not download free ringtones from Myxer.
My DH has straigttalk. It is from Walmart and runs on tracfone networks. It is $45 month UNLIMITED EVERYTHING! And you can do the free ringtones. He actually gets a lil better reception then our virgin does. I just prefer our phones, we have the rumour 2. Altough I would like to get an android.
