March is Frozen Foods month!

This is just a friendly neighborhood reminder that March is just 6 weeks away. And it is National Frozen Foods month. Grocers typically offer lots of sales and promotions on frozen foods. Now is a great time to clean out your freezer, use up what you can, toss what needs to be tossed, and defrost it if it requires it.

You don't want to have to miss the possible freebies and great deals, if they come around, because you don't have the freezer space.

Two or three years ago, Acme ran a promo on selling freezers--basically you got back whatever you paid for the freezer in gift cards. I passed on that opportunity and regret it. Maybe they'll run it again this year.

I've demanded a freezer from DH. We have a fridge with a bottom pull-out freezer which is stocked full of SmartOnes right now. I really don't know what I'm going to do! Lowe's sells a small chest freezer I've been thinking about for a while now. Anyone seen any good freezer deals?

and for some reason i thought march would be " s pring cleaning " month :) for the cleaning supplies like windex etc- i thought i got those deals last year in march .. ? .. dang it and my freezer is loaded with stuff nothing that can be tossed - pretty much new stuff in there.. i'm almost tempted to think about a " second " chest freezer - :))

This makes me wish I had a chest freezer!! I know the smaller one at Lowes is a good price, but not sure where I'd put it!? Guess we'll have to deal with what we have and make it work!

Lowes has a special tax refund gift card deal you might check out. If you put 500 - 4000 dollars on it (initial purchase)they will add 10% of your initial purchase price on March 18th. You could get a 500 card and buy a freezer with it and Lowes will add 50 more dollars to your card for free.

Darn! Between the super-cheap pizzas at Kroger this week...and the 10 cent veggies at a local store a few weeks ago, my freezer space is really limited! I still have room on one shelf, but it's ONLY for meat!! So when is it going to be "OMG Super prices on meat" month????
