As others have said, the wording on the P&G coupons isn't preventing anyone from buying 12 bottles of Dawn at a time. You just have to pay full price for 8 of those bottles, return to the store at a later time, or go to a different store. It's not the manufacturer's job to make sure shopping is convenient for me. They provide a product which I can choose to buy or leave on the shelf. I consider it a courtesy rather than a right when a manufacturer makes coupons available. It's also a courtesy when a store chooses to accept coupons at all or to accept more than one like coupon. One of the CVS stores I shop at limited like coupons to 3 at one point. Most (if not all) of the Kroger stores in my area do not allow multiples of a coupon in the same transaction. I no longer shop at Kroger because doing multiple transactions locally was more hassle and stress than I was willing to put up with at my already coupon-unfriendly store. It's all about choices and making decisions within store and manufacturer rules that allow for the best outcome for my family. I think couponers are intelligent and determined. We can adapt to whatever guidelines folks throw our way.
