I'm mathmatically challenged. Please help!

Please help me with this equation (It's sloppy, sorry, and totally hypothetical)

Fuze drinks go on sale (once in a blue moon) for $1.00 each around here...

How many would I need to purchase, and what would my final price be, if I used the following coupons:

Buy 4, get two free
Buy 1, get one free
$1.00 off the purchase of two

This is what the DBF and I are thinking (but we're both horrible at math! )

Buy 8 fuze @1.00 each = $8.00
use 4 1.00/2 coupons = (8.00 - 4.00) = 4.00
use b4g2 coupons = (4.00 - 2.00) = 2.00
use b1g1 coupon = (2.00 - 1.00) = 1.00

Bottom line: $1.00 for 8 fuze, use 6 coupons.

Is this right?

I think you are double dipping on some coupons. Here's what I get:
Buy 12 for $5
use 4 - $1/2
2 B4G2
1 bogo
8 bottles count for your $1/2 (4)
2 bottles free for buying 8 with your B4G2 (2)
2 bottles using bogo (1)

$12-$4-$2-$1=$5

Buy 8 fuze @1.00 each = $8.00
use 4 1.00/2 coupons = (8.00 - 4.00) = 4.00
use b4g2 coupons = (4.00 - 2.00) = 2.00
use b1g1 coupon = (2.00 - 1.00) = 1.00

Each $1/2 covers 2 Fuzes, each B4G2 covers 2 Fuzes, and each B1G1 covers 1 Fuze. Here's an idea:

Buy 12 Fuzes 12.00
Use 2 B4G2 qs - 4.00 (covers 4 Fuzes)
Use 4 B1G1 qs - 4.00 (covers 4 Fuzes)
Use 2 $1/2 qs - 2.00 (covers the last 4 Fuzes)
= $2.00 OOP for 12

This is very YMMV as some stores see a B1G1 as covering 2 items and may not allow the use of the $1/2 qs on top of the BXGX.

use 2 bogo (these will be on the 4 bottles but only 2 of them) (-$2)
use 1 $1/2 (on the other 2 of the 4) (-$1)

so 6 bottles for $1 ....now none of my stores would let me use all these. and i think my math is right....

I would never be allowed to use the B4 get 1 free and the b1 get 1 free on the same set of fuze.

so I would either use the $1/2...using 2 of those on the b4 get 1 free.

or buy 2 sets of the bogo..and use the $1/2 then. This one would be the cheaper set.

yeah,i agree with the above post. the B4G2 and the B1G1 have the same value and cannot be used together. either of them can be used with the 1.00/2. so.........

buy 4 @ 1.00 = 4.00, use B4G2 = 2 FREE for a total of 6, use 2x 1.00/2 for the 4 you bought = an additional savings of 2.00, meaning you get 6 for 2.00

buy 2 @ 1.00= 2.00, use 2x B1G1 = 2 FREE for a total of 4, use 1.00/2 for the 2 you bought = an additional savings of 1.00, meaning you get 4 for 1.00

I don't know if this will help you, but when I activated DH's CVS ExtraCare card over the phone, the girl I spoke to told me that a BOGO coupon covers 1 free, and another BOGO coupon (used at the same time) would cover a 2nd item free, so essentially you're getting 3 for the price of one. Based on what she told me CVS accepts, the scenario would go like this ...
The B4G2 pays for the 2 free
The BOGO (on one of the above freebies - because it's still a purchase, you just pay with a Q) would cover another free Fuze
2 X $1/2 would reduce the 1st 4 Fuze to $2, so my math says:
4 @ $.50 each = $2
3 @ Free
= 7 for $2 - at least in a CVS store.
