HELP Pathmark vs Shoprite

So I usually shop at shoprite. I went to Pathmark yesterday because they were having a great sale on chicken. As I entered the store they had a freezer with manager special chicken breasts. WOW! 4 breast for 4.50
Then I went to the meat dept. there they had more manager specials! i NEVER see manager special at Shoprite.

So what I am getting at is which is the better store for budget conscious families?

Would love to hear from all especially those who shop at Pathmark and Shoprite!

Would apreciate any help...

Just another thought. I do shop at 2 stores due to my children's GFCF diet. But how many how many of you shop multiple stores based on the sales every week?

Hi!!
I shop at various stores depending on the sales!!
I usually do my weekly shopping (produce, meat, dairy etc...) at Shop Rite, but I too have recently been doing some shopping at Pathmark too. Lately they have had some really good sales that match up with q's to make things FREE or very close to it.
Examples recently...Vumble Bee pouch tuna .77 (free after .55/1 q blinkie )
also Marcal tissues .77 (Free w/ Free q up to 1.00 or really cheap with the 1.00/2)
Pampers wipes have been 1.99 for weeks w/the 2.00/1 FREE
Vlasic relish .77 (FREE w/ .75/1 q blinkie)

I also do shopping at Acme. I mostly do Catalina deals there. Here is where I save the most money

So yes, I do think it is worth while to shop at more than one store, especially when you can save money and get things FREE or close to it.

HTH

I always check Pathmarks meats.. They have them marked down all the time. As for the rest of Pathmark I have seen better deals.. really depends on the week.. The earlier in the day the more meat managers specials..

I also have never seen meat mark downs at shoprite. But sometimes Acme has some really good ones.. i once got a 3lb pack of Boneless Skinless chicken breast for $3 on special.. I grabbed every pack.. and put them right in the freezer..
