I have to ask, Eisor, where have you found the Office Max ads at so early? Are they on HCW somewhere?

So what has happened in the past is I buy exactly what is on the list, the correct brands and sizes and colors and all. Then my kids come home with a shabby notebook, brand x scissors and Roseart crayons because someone else didn't buy the correct stuff.

So I'm wondering if this year I should send in the cheap stuff for the 1st day and then give my child the good stuff after school starts. I don't have a problem with sending Purell and wipes etc. that all the class needs and you have to share. But stuff like notebooks and folders I think my kid should get to use what I buy for him.
I agree! What you purchase as a parent is for your child.

And..as a sidenote-I cannot stand those RoseArt crayons! They just do not work well at all.

I found it on SD. But, keep in mind that the Office Max sales have been VERY VERY regional this year. So, be sure to check your local ad on Sunday to see what is on sale in your area.

    Will do and thanks.

Side note, in my region some pencil sharpeners were on sale for $0.25 but when I went to the store they were actually $0.10. Not sure what the deal was there.

For those of you who've been looking, Dillons in KS has Crayola washable markers (8ct., the big ones) for $1 this week. This is the cheapest I've found them anywhere. Sale goes through Tues., the 27th.
    Nothing too profound to say....

    Plmk if anyone does;)
Target has construction paper .88 this week 7/25-7/31 - that seemed like a good deal to me.

Does CVS usually wait til later to do deals on Back to School - except for pens and scissors about 2 weeks ago - they have not had too much?

You know last year they had freebies after ECB almost every week starting after the 4th until about mid Aug. Doesn't seem like they are having the same deals this summer though. I miss all my free school supplies from them.

Dollar Tree has the generic dry erase marker 4 packs for $1..this is the cheapest I have found. Any teachers out there?? Does each classroom really go through 100 of these each school year?

Must not be doing it this year. The 8/1 and 8/8 ad has no school supplies for free. They did a ton last year..actually still have some rainchecks.

Thanks for this thread. Wanted to mention that Target has Single subject notebooks (generic) for .15.
They also have a 10 pack of 2 pocket folders for 1.00
