Default How to decide which stores to shop?

Recently I've found that I just don't have the time and/or energy to do so much planning to get ALL the deals. So I've decided I have to cut it down to size. I have two options as I see it:

1. Concentrate on one grocery, one drugstore etc. and mine it for all it's worth.

2. Just skim off the top of each one getting the very best deals and not delve into the ad so deeply.

How should I pare it down to a more manageable size?

I would concentrate on things you need/use regularly instead of deals on every item.

Shop for what you actually need, not everything. Who needs 100 air fresheners? Maybe a dayare. Who needs food? Everyone.

Default Re: How to decide which stores to shop?

i have just been doing a sunday trip ...i go out sunday morning and do a round around the city to the stores i need to go to...if i need to, start at wags (only if i need something from that sales ad), cvs (same as wags), walmart, cubs (i stop here to look for mark down all natural chicken), schnucks, kroger
if it is a kroger mega sale or something, i stop at two krogers...if i have lots of overage coupons at walmart, i stop at two...i start at 5am

i would limit it to what you need and what you use on a regular basis. i have slowed down a little lately, and trying to use up what we have...i find the sunday quick outing suits me pretty good...

i do still go out at least once in the week, just to regain my sanity from being home all week....i pick up anythign else then.

Wow! That's a "quick" Sunday trip? I guess I'm just lazy! Or probably just unorganized. It would take me all day to do 6 or more stops. AND I would come home grumpy and exhausted. But I get your drift. Only hit the stores with the stuff I need. A simple concept but one I find hard to implement. How do I know I WON'T need 100 air fresheners?

I would agree, concentrate on the "need" items in your case.
