But apparently the makers of the stickers didn't think so and they blocked it.
I hate them too, I pull them off and stick them on other bunches of bananas.
It does cost me time in the self checkout, because I do not have the yellow banana code, but no stickers.

I like the food products that come in microwaveable containers, like Hormel chili, Chef Boyardee, many frozen meals. I re-use the containers like the blue Hormal chili container to use in my microwave for soups, a serving of vegetables, etc.

Are you aware that many of these plastic microwavable containers leach chemicals into your food? Including BPA, an endocrine disrupter, which has been in the news a lot lately. You should never heat any food in plastic containers. Always use glass or correlle-ware type containers. Remove the food from the plastic containers it is sold in -- this includes those frozen steam vegetable bags and any plastic container that is "microwaveable". It's just not worth getting those chemicals into your food.

Purex makes really nice glass bowls with plastic lids in various sizes. You can use these bowls (without the lid of course) in the microwave and they are great for storing left-overs and for freezing foods too. So the left overs can go right from the fridge into the microwave for reheating. Very easy and extremely safe unlike all of those chemical plastics which are not stable under heat -- no matter what the food manufacturers say on the label.

There have been several independent studies done that prove that the chemicals from the plastic leach into the food when the containers get hot.
