Proper use of $2.50/1 Electrasol Q

The wording on this Q has changed since I got it last. I want to make sure I'm using it correctly, and maybe help some newbies that don't know either.

I'm referring of course, to the '1 per purchase' thing.

Seperate transactions? 1 per visit? 1 per week?:shrug7:

My understanding with that is 1 per box...I did a transaction with 12 today and the only reason she had to enter them by hand is because I had a rain check for a lower price. HTH! And if I am wrong hopefully someone else can let us know.

yes, you had five items in your transaction, you were purchasing five items, and if trained right using 5 q's to do it with.

If and when I have a cashier say oh you can only use one Q this ison per purchase... I say something like.

Well Are you giving me the rest for free then, cause I was planning on purchasing them in this transaction, but if you are gonna give them to me then SWEET!

this is said with the best happy attitude one can have, and usually works.

Yep, OP, one per purchase means one per item.

All your items = a transaction.
Each item = a purchase.

That is exactly what I do and it works usually. If not then I raise cain and it definitely works, LOL

I just wanted to know before I 'raised Cain', lol, because I didn't want to be accused of the 'F' word.
Went into Family Dollar Sat, bought 2. Cashier looked like she was going to say something, but didn't.

Went in yesterday, (I figured since it is a small store, and my only FD, I'd be better off to break them up into multiple trips).

Attempted to buy 5. Cashier that worked yesterday, told her that she needed to check w/ the office, to see if I could actually buy 5, especially since I bought 2 the day before. (in the past, they've had me buy 1 item, other than the Electrasol, so their system figures the tax correctly-ok pita, but I humor them.)

Couldn't get a hold of anyone in office, since it was Sun., she had to call her mgr. Her mgr, told her she would check and get back to her. Phone rings, no word yet.
Final outcome 20-25 min later-they sold me the 5 boxes, but warned me that rules may be different next time I return.

They told me that some guy used to come in and buy 20 Marcal paper towels at a time, and wipe them out, every time the Q came out. (Not cool, they wiped them out. I know. The son-of-a-gun ALWAYS beat me there, and as a result, I was lucky if I could get 1 or 2.)

So cashiers grumbled that they (corp.) needs to LIMIT people, on these loss leader deals.

So I lost a good 20-25 minutes of my life in there yesterday. Not to mention, regardless of small store or not...they could order ahead! After all, they ARE getting reimbursed for the Qs, plus the .08 per Q. Not only that, but it would increase their sales.

Go figure.

I can argue the 1 Q per purchase thing to death; I've had lots of experience w/ that. Just crossing my ts, and dotting my i's, before I attempt again.

I was wondering where to use these myself - since I have a boat load of the Q's. (ordered off ebay and then traded for some here - forgetting the ebay purchase. Whoopsie!)

My FD is about 20 minutes away and I grind my teeth at the idea of having to drive there, just to see if they have any. I've called in the past and they always say "No" they don't have it. If I go there, I can 9 times out of 10 find it myself. Ugh.

WM has the tabs (not gel packs) around me for 4.48, and price chopper has the "20 extra free" for 4.99.

Anyone know if FD has the gel packs too, or just the tabs???
