Default ~~Your Favorite Deal of 2009~~

What was it?

For me, I didn't really have much to choose from. I gave up CVS, Walgreen's, Kmart.........everything except two grocery stores really. Just been living off the stockpile and only focusing on food.

So my favorite deal must have been in June at Acme. It was a General Mills catalina that rolled. And rolled and rolled and rolled. When all was said & done I got about $2000 worth of groceries for about $50.

This is a tough one..

Kmart super doubles were FABULOUS for me..

Giant Eagle 4 pk batteries, free after Q's & $5 catalina OYNO MM for every 4 you bought..

Wags when they gave a $10 RR on contour meters..I was in Fl w/ my sisters for that one, we ended up with $480 in RR's! It was awesome to have partners in crime!

I think mine was the 30 Heinz Ketchup's that Giant Eagle paid me to take home.

Then there were the Colgate Cats at Giant Eagle - Free after Q plus a $3 cat on every $10 shelf price worth. Got to love that! I don't remember exactly how many I got, but I loved using up those $3 cats!

Next would have to be the almost free Scott Extra Soft and Viva PPT's during the last Kmart doubles. They weren't on sale, but I made it work with the $12 cats and $2 Kmart booklet Q's.

Of course the Target Glade deal and the Target Chinet deals were awesome.

Oh, I almost forgot! Birdseye Veggies @ Giant Eagle - Free after Q and for every 5, I get $5 Steeler Bucks! I love free stuff!!

Okay, there are a ton more, but there is only so much room here! lol

Free Chinet plates at Kmart. We didn't get those qs here, therefore the supply of them was only for me. And free Angel Soft and Cottonelle, which seems to be a dying breed.

There were so many....but I'd have to say the major diaper stockpile from WAGS

Remember the $5.00/1 Huggies IP coupon and the WAGS RR sale! We are still using those diapers and with giftcards and all; I paid no OOP. Also having the stockpile has allowed me to not buy except when they were really cheap/free since then.

This is my first full year of couponing. I only shop 3 stores heavily and 1 store occasionally. I cant think of ONE for the full year because there were so many but I will break it down by store.

CVS-the first store I started with
Hmmm this is a hard one because I always get good deals there in my opinion So I am going to just say I loved the unadvertised MM there. Like the neutragena sun block that was 1.99 buy 2 get 10ecb, Sunglass wipes that were apart of the sunglass deal where you buy 2 get back 10 ecbs. The addidas deoderant that was on clearance for 1.25 and had a 1.00 off coupon and gave back 3ecbs...

Publix- the second store i learned
I will say my favorite was back in April or May when they had Electrasol boxes BOGO. The ad listed the 7.49 box but the 3.99 box rang BOGO as well. Of course the 2.50/1 q was out. And we are allowed to use 2 qs on a BOGO. At the same time Chinet was on Advantage Buy for 2 for 4.00 with the 2.00 Chinet q being out..So needless to say to stocked up on Electrasol using the overage to stock up on Chinet. When I ran out chinet qs I used the overage to buy me some Revlon eye shadows (stacking a man q and a publix q).

Walgreens-the third store I learned
Bayer Meter deal buy 1 get 10rr's. I had about 220.00rr's which I used to stock on diapers wipes detergent and of course some things for me

Albertson's -occasionally shop (mainly for Marcal)
I believe it was March and they had Scott Extra Soft TP 10 for 10.00. Yep thats when they had the 1.00 off Scott Extra Soft 4 packs (the good ole days). Needless to say at the end of that week I had about a 150 packs of TP for about 10 bucks. I gave some to MIL and friends. After all was said and down I had about 95 packs. My class calculated how long it would last if we used a roll a day and discovered I had enough for over a year.... (now i am down to about 35 packs i think...i need a good tp deal)

This year I really learned the ropes and hope 2010 will bring even better deals...

I have a few.

The wags diaper deal, got a bunch of Huggies for my neighbor, she was having her first baby after trying for 7 years so that was really fun for me to get them for her.

The meter deal at Wags for $10 RR I had $120 to play with after that.

The Kroger mega deal this past November, I really got to stock up on pizza (with $10 rebate!) among other things and the Steamfresh meal bogo coupon and Rolaids $4/2 gave me tons of overage to get a lot of stuff I needed.

This was my first year hardcore couponing so I had a lot of fun!
