Re: Oct 2009. What is your Favorite Coupon and Scenario right now??? NEWBIES LOOK HERE for easy starters!!! Rural Iowa here. I have HyVee and Fareway. I get 1-2 good deals a week with my selection of stores. We have a Pamida which doubles coupons occasionally up to and including $1, but is very overpriced. For all else, I make a run every 2 months to WalMart 2 hrs away when we visit relatives. Oh, and I'd kill for a local Walgreens had to stop looking at their ads (50 min away) because I was uncontrollably killing gas every week! Always:
~Mahatma Brown or White Rice: $.97 - $.75/1 printable coupon = $.22 each
(or there is a $.55/1 insert) Last week:
~$.99 Ragu products sale - $1/2 insert coupon = $.49 each
~Huggies Super Mega Diapers $17.99 sale (included boxes of Pure and Natural) + buy 2 receive $5 store giftcard - (2) $3/1 Huggies Pure and Natural = $12.49 each or $.13 per diaper This week:
~$1.29 GG Steamers - $.50/1 printable coupon = $.79 each
*This is a good deal as we receive WIC, which gives $6.00 toward fruit/veggies (lots of stipulations, but the reg. GG Steamers fit) per month. I paid $.19 per bag out of pocket.*
~Snuggle Dryer Sheets 80ct $3.49 sale - $3/1 coupon = $.49 each
~5lb Robin Hood Flour $3.99 - $3.00 store coupon in ad = $.99
~Aunt Jemima Frozen Waffles 10ct $.99 sale, buy 5, mail in www.therealmealdeal.com for $5 in coupons = free
Nothing amazing, but by couponing for half a year, I'm up to almost 6 months of a stockpile in every regard. I just had to realize that in order to build a stockpile when I started couponing, I might not spend less per week in the checkbook at the grocery store, but I was bringing home 5x the products.
