Re: How much shampoo does a person use per year? etc. Agree w/PP, it all depends on your family. For us...
Deo - dh goes through a stick a month. Me...every month or two, depending on the brand & size. Dove & Secret last a bit longer while Dry Idea or Soft N Dri, I go through those more often b/c I may reapply during the day, esp if I've been outside doing yardwork. Those deo's just don't hold up to Dove or Secret LOL
Toothpaste - 1 a month. The kids, about every 3 month. I figure 12 tubes a year + a few extras.
Toothbrush - replaced every 3 months, so for dh & I, thats 8 a year. But I have waaay more than that stockpiled. My kids, I get free TB's from the dentist when they go for their yearly ckups
Bodywash - 1 a month. My boys are older now (7/6), so I'm down to my last bottle of baby wash, but sometimes I use the adult stuff on them. DS7 likes to smell like daddy, so I stockpiled a bunch of those Gillette bodywashes a while back. I squeeze a little on his poof so he can wash himself, then I come behind to catch what he can't reach.
I figure 12 bottles a year, plus extras.
Shampoo -- I figure we (dh & I) go through a bottle each of shampoo/conditioner every month to month & 1/2, depending on the size. My sister gave me a family size bottle of Herbal Essences shampoo and all 4 of us have been using it, and its been over a month. For conditioner, we're using stray bottles of whatever I have stashed. For the kids, a bottle of Loreal or Suave lasts longer, 2 or 3 months.
Best thing to do is maybe attach a sheet of paper in your bathroom closet or whereever you have your HBA stashed and write the date you start a new bottle. When its time to replace, write the ending date and from there you can figure out the length of time and how much you'll need for the year. |
