Which is better - Target GC or Walmart GC?

I'm about to cash in some MyPoints for a gift card, but am having a hard time figuring out which would go further... a $25 Target card or a $25 Walmart card? We have both around here, but I haven't been to the Walmart store very often. We have no Super Targets and the closest Super Walmart is about an hour away, but both carry some limited groceries.

I'd love to hear your opinions.

I just cashed in some points for Walgreens & for BP card.

i would think target also, the regular targets have the buy so many of grocery items and get a $5 gift card, so with some coupons, you could possibly stretch it that way and qualify for some more gift cards.

I agree with Target, that way you can roll the GC when there are GC promos. If I got a $25 WM GC, I would more than likely blow it in one trip.

i think it would depend on what ya need........i like target better tehn walmart

for me, its just equal. most of our WMs are coupon friendly. while at Target, its a bit harder to use coupons for trial size but they often have Target GC offers which makes the deals sweeter.

both stores now ad match each other which is advantageous to customers. but Target has an edge because they offer Target GCs on top of sale prices. WM can only match their sale price but no GC offer.

Actually with the deals that Target runs, I think it would last longer than at Wal-Mart.

I agree that I do love Target more than Walmart too - actually I love ANY store more than Walmart, however that does not factor into my opinion of what gc to get. That's an easy answer for me - Target. I know I'll be able to roll it into more gc doing deals there at some point.
