I have noticed in the last month that I have gone $10-25 over budget, but part of that expense was planning for a camping trip. I recently got 2 out of diapers (twins) so I am enjoying the savings in that area. I am tempted to potty train my one-year-old now!

I spend about the same as I did before, I just have lots of excess now, where I had little before.
I think I need to start using cash only. Take out my budgeted amount each payday in cash and stick to it- NO MATTER WHAT! I tried this before, but as soon as a deal came along that I really wanted to stock up on, out comes my debit card and I ended up spending about $50 more than I had wanted to.
I seriously think I'm addicted to shopping. Thank God I only buy bargains or I'd really be in a mess. But I need to somehow learn to stick to a budget, regardless if something pops up that is a bargain.
Yes, $1 for a $10 razor is a great deal. But if I already have 50 razors, there is no need to spend $20 buying more razors. And $.49 cereal is a great price, but when we already have 30 boxes, there is no need to buy any more. I feel like I cannot say no to a great deal. A good deal, yes. A great deal, NOPE!
If anyone has any tips or websites that might help me make, and stick to, a budget, I would really appreciate it! I don't even know what a reasonable budget would be?!? | I exactly just like this! i could have wrote the same post. I have a had time saying no to deals. Dh has told me to stop buying cereal since we have so many boxes right now. We really do eat a lot of cereal though. i recently made myself cash out my extra care bucks, meaning i bought something that didn't give me ecbs back. i needed a new coffee maker so i got that. I really had to stop the stockpiling of hba items! it is all so addicting. i am stil trying to figure out how much to spend and not spend!

| Re: What is your weekly grocery budget per person? For the remainder of my maternity leave I am going to keep it to 10 bucks a person.. so $40 a week. I'm not counting the baby at this point since I am nursing and stockpiled diapers while I was pregnant.
This includes everything but pet food.
