Do you give out your phone # for "more coupons"?

I was at Victoria's Secret yesterday for their semi-annual sale. When I was checking out the lady asked for my phone #. I told her they already have all my info. She then asked for my e-mail address. I told her they have that too. She said if I keep giving it to them, it updates their system and they'll "send me more coupons".
First of all I HATE that sooo many places do this now. Seems like every store in the mall and many others now want your phone # when you check out. I really don't like giving it out, but I don't want to miss out on any deals either. What do you do when asked your phone #?

I have done it and I never see coupons from them ever anymore - I forgot that they even used to send them. I remember that I used to get them from NY & co. too but no more

I was at VS the other day and they asked me for my e-mail. My reply was that I just gave it to them the previous week. The cashiers response was that they want to keep track of what I was purchasing. At that point I laughed and told her that what I was purchasing had not changed in a week.
I did like the coupons they sent me though. I got a $10/50, $15/75 and a $25/100.

Well, I never got an coupons as of yet.

And what angers me most is that when I wanted to return something with a receipt the had the NERVE to ask me for my license.

I HAD to give it to them for the return. Now that is toooo much info for me!
I don't hassle going there anymore.
