Default Grrrr...What do you think of PP's Policy Changes Coming up on 6/3 ?

Charge for each commerical transaction ( payment for something bought) regardless of payment source. Personal transaction is sending money to family and friends- no fee. It looks like it will be set up for the fee to hit the seller for each transaction like it now does when buyer uses a credit card.

Ayyy? When did this come up? Have to check in to this, but it doesn't surprise me, PP is an EBay company after all.

It's listed on their website when you log in under policy updates.

I had no idea, I will have to go and catch up on policies. I think everything everywhere is going up in prices and has been for quite awhile. Not surprising!!

Not sure that's how I'm understanding it, but maybe it's hopeful wishing on my part...not to mention it's kinna late.

If that's the case, RME here we come! I love RME because they didn't even ask me for my bank account or cc info. It's all based on your balance. However, to get an initial balance, you would need to link to your checking account or hold a few auctions.

How's that for a plug?

I was unaware of this too. So if I read it right, you're saying a buyer is going to have to pay a PP fee on top of the purchase price for what ever they bought?

The way I read it, the one who sends the payment will choose who pays the fee. So, like with ebay...you would choose the seller. I really don't think this will affect personal accounts though, but I could be SO wrong.

I hope that I was just reading this wrong and it won't affect them.

It's been like this in my PPl account ever since I can think - [I have a prof. account] and every transaction costs me a minimum of .35-39 or so to begin with + a percentage of the amount send... No changes for me unless the fees themselves change... Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Will this effect my payments? For example, I write for Associated Content and a couple other sites that pay be through Paypal. Will I have to now pay a fee and my percentage of my payments??
