More fees? Seriously? Aren't they high enough already??

I guess I can understand this, but at the same time, it is absolute fleecing. PayPal knows they are the preferred member and most other sources don't compare. I dislike paypal, but have not found a solid enough following with other providers.

I think they will lose business over this for sure.

Well I guess it's back to coupon for coupon trades or stamps. Regardless of who "pays" the fees it will be the buyer paying for it either way. Either the buyer will have to pay the fees on top of the trade value of the q's or the price of pp trades will go up to make up for the fees if the seller is agreeing to pay for them. So either way this means cutting into our savings. Right now is not the time that I want to lower my savings amount...so guess I'm finished with pp payments.

I think they will lose alot of ppl to other payment sources now that EVERYONE will be charged a fee, even if they were previously personal accts. It really hurts the small-time sellers that don't make their living (or a good portion of it) from selling little things here and there.
I don't think it has anything to do with that. These fees having nothing to do with people having multiple accounts. And if that is what they have a problem with and are targeting then they could charge a fee to the account holders that choose to have two accounts.

It's usually the small businesses that get hurt the most when changes occur ...unfortunately.

Amendment to the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy

    Effective Date: June 3, 2009
Beginning June 3, 2009 the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy is being amended to include a new Section 4 as follows:
    Prohibited Activities
You may not use the PayPal service for activities that:
"4. involve the sales of products or services identified by government agencies to have a high likelihood of being fraudulent”

This is also in the amendment...wonder what that is aimed at???:shrug7:

I was just thinking about paypal fees the other day. Their sticking it to me twice. I have to pay fees for stuff I sell on ebay AND when people send me money. It really bugs me having to pay two sets of fees to what I essentially consider to be one company.

Oh, one point that you might want to take a look at if you haven't already is how this will impact the auction forum. There are auctions up that end on 6/3 or later involving pp. The sellers and bidders really should be given the opportunity to make changes to their auctions/bids given the changes to pp fees. IMO

Same here, I've never heard of RME.

Unless that stands for real money exchange (as in sending concealed cash)
