There are 4 of us plus 3 cats and a dog. I buy at least 6-8 every week, and the weeks there are high value or hot coupons I buy as many as 12.

My sister has 3 in her family plus 4 dogs, and another family of 5 she shops for regularly. She usually buys 16-20 every week.

Our papers here are expensive at $1.50 each, but I consider it an investment and count the cost towards my grocery budget.

i just started out couponing a couple of months ago. So far I don't usually buy a newspaper unless I know it has some coupons that will make it worth the cost, then I will buy one or two. My parents and grandmother save their inserts for me every week so that helps alot, especially with the CVS deals. If there are coupons that I want multiples of I just usually buy them. It just doesn't seem worth it to buy 20 papers just for for 1 or 2 coupons and then have the hassle of trying to trade the rest, KWIM?

I use to buy 20 ($10) but then started getting some from a friend and the paperman so now I only buy one - three depending on the week.
My paperman is quitting though so I may go back to buying more soon. I cant afford the $10 a week like I use to though so it will probably be 8-12 max
I dont know Ive ben tossing the idea of quitting completely lately but Im not sure wed make it if I did.
If my stockpile were more built up I would.

Today, I went to buy 10 from a 7-11 but was given a hard time. Was told I was not allowed to buy 10 at once. Said I had to come back after lunch if I wanted them.

    Anyone ever hear of this?

I usually get three of the major city paper that we get in our area, and 1 of the city in the next county (it is much bigger than my little town). I also send all of my expireds and unused to military familys overseas though.

I usually get 2-3 papers and then a friend of mine gives me her inserts. I also will advertise on craigslist and freecycle that I am looking for inserts. I've gotten quite a lot that way.

It depends on the week, I look to the preview and to the ads to see. This week it was 20 and that was because those made up for their cost and more. I got 20 BBQ sauces at Giant Eagle for a 80c profit with Catalinas and the Jello puddings were icing on the cake. I also got to give away some Pampers Q's to a family in front of me. I have a neighbor who I want to get into couponing that I gave some of the Lean Cuisine Q's to (and I'm holding the rest of them for her).
I only buy when the cost of the paper is at least what I will save or more. If it's break even, my aunt needs the actual paper part for her bunnies.
I also am looking to get with our food bank lady about giving her coupons for their clients.
Oooh, just found another Q, so the paper this week is a wonderful money maker for me!
