Default 2009 Goals

Post your 2009 Goals here!

I think everyone should set a goal, ramp it up a notch, and try to meet it. Setting goals helps you along with your purpose.

In 2007 I set a personal grocery goal: $0 oop. I met my goal. It was difficult toward the end, but I did it! In 2008, I set no goal, but kept it vague - try to keep oop low.

I want to have two goals.
Goal #1: Low oop....I didn't set a number to it yet, but I will (maybe $40 a month for 2?).
Goal #2: Operation Use It! I read that on someone's blog here, and like it. I have closets and Rubbermaid containers and two freezers brimming with stuff. My goal is to use as much as I possibly can in the next 6 months. The key to this goal is planning, and creative thinking...so not so easy!

Gameplan:
To meet my goal, my first step was cleaning out my freezers and pantries this week. Check. Next week or two, I will make a list of everything. Boring, but I think I have to do this so I can better assess where I stand. Then, next step is to find new recipes to use everything so that we don't get bored. Then, I will devise meal plans. I will not be buying anything other than milk, half and half, and eggs (probably using ECBs), and will "buy" any freebies....and I will see if I can restrain myself to just that. We'll see the next time there is a super great deal on pork chops or something! LOL.

So let's hear it! What are your goals??? Maybe you will inspire me or someone else!

Good Luck on your goal!
My goal is to keep better track of how much I save. I always start out good but then seem to fizzle out about half way through the year. I also want to spend less OOP, I have a good stockpile so I can be more selective on when I purchase things.
I know this will be a better year!!

My goal right now is to get a job. I think things will start to fall into place after that. (crossing my fingers!!)

I want to get a handle on what we actually spend for groceries. Our freezer is pretty full and we don't have much more pantry room so in Jan I should be able to just spend on normal, needed groceries. We're spending about $120 a week now but that includes stockpiling human and cat food and purchasing for others. I'd like to get it down to $50 a week for us.

Not related to spending, I'd like to start jogging seriously - I can only do a few minutes at a time now. And finish up the CPA exam - I have 3/4, just need one more.

My goal is track my savings all year. Also I'm going to try to cut down my food purchases to $50 a week for 3 people. Meat is my big issue. I spend $35.00 a week alone on meat. Hubby doesn't like eatting chicken at every meal.

Default Re: 2009 Goals

My Goal are:

Pay down the debts. High Priority
Stockpile budget. Meduim
Saving. Low.

I know I can overboard on stockpile when it come to great deals but really the main thing is our budget is small with this economy but I got a big goal to get our stockpile up and last for at least 6 month.

I had posted a list of things I need on Attraction law in Stockpile forum.

Anyhow it does take a lot of work and determination.

I had planned out what I need to stockpile and focus on them only and stick to it.

Believe it or not is seemed easy that way than just wait for sales and just take everything we need what we need not all we want.

My goal is to reduce total spend on grocery/pet/HBA/household to $75 or less a week. We are a family of 5 with 1 dog and 2 cats. I am at about $125 a week right now. Way better than the $250 to $300 I was at before and not stockpiling!!

My goals are to not put things off until tommorrow. Just like Nike say's "JUST DO IT!" ;) I want to better manage our money, and to do more for people less fortunate. I want to be a better person, and would like to eat better. Also I want to be a better wife and mother to our children. But most of all I would like to serve God more, and be a much better steward over the thing's God has set forth in my life. :)
