    Default Thanks to HCW!

I just want to say how thankful I am for this site. For example, I found out about the royal jello being free at WAGS this week. I was able to order ahead of time some coupons to get it for free. I got 50 boxes! I have a box full of things for the local food pantry and I paid maybe $8 for the entire box. I am continuing to set a box beside my stockpile and I am always on the lookout for deals for them and then I put it in the box and when the box is full I am able to bless them.
I also run a ministry of my own. Needy families in my community that are refered to me. They have to be from my school district and they have to have a sudden onset of need (examples:illness, sudden job loss, ect) and I give them a box of hygiene supplies every month until they are back on thier feet. I am getting help from others (including another couponer) but I do the majority just from the deals I find out about here.
I also have taken my own families food/hygiene budget down to $75 weekly from $200! So, now with that $75 I use that for my own family and my other ministries. Before I was getting very little for that $200 and only being able to provide for my family. I am now able to provide for my family and bless other families for less than half the cost i was spending!
Couponing and this website are changing lives. Both for my family and for those in my community. Thank You! This site and the people on it are great!

I second your thanks! I don't have figures, but it definitely has helped and I am still really learning--I only really got going on here in early fall.

Thanks for sharing all you do--that is really interesting. Our church just started a food pantry so that is really neat, I always took my stuff to the county one, but this makes it more personal and exciting to me. Though we are still helping the same people (they can only get help once from the countywide one every 30 days or something like that) it is fun to support the people at our church who are starting this ministry. I love your idea of hygeine boxes. I took tons of hygeine stuff to the church one (no one knew who took it) and the lady who runs it went on and on to my dd about someone gave hygeine stuff and now they can give a bag of that with each box of food they give out. The grand opening was just this Monday, tho they gave stuff out before that.

Newspaper full of coupons...$1.50; trip to doubleland grocers for $200 worth of food...$47; the HCW community..priceless!

That is great that you gave the pantry the hygiene items because they are not covered by food stamps. Which I think is crazy. You can buy steak and lobster with food stamps but not toilet paper. Wierd huh?

HCW has been so very, very helpful to our family as well. I have been couponing for about 4 years now but my DH is a home inspector and so you can guess how bad our income has been this year. We were down about 28% last year and this year it's down about another 50% on top of that. My grocery (food, hba and dog food) used to be 450 a month but because of the housing slow down I have only been able to take $200 a month for the last year. This month I didn't get any grocery money at all but with all the deals I have gotten and stuff I've been able to stock pile we are making it through.
Thank you so much to everyone who shares deals they find. I don't know what I would do with out you all!!!

Thanks to HCW I have been able to bring many freebies to the residential school for disabled people where my DD lives. With all the state budget cuts this year it has been so great to be able to provide this great group with all the extra's we would have to otherwise forgo. I was able to really trim their christmas budget and provide a wonderful christmas party for pennies on the dollar. So many thanks to all that work so hard on this site. A very special group of people really appreciate you.

I have just signed on to help at the local food pantry. And I will be checking out other deals now that I am involved.

I, too, have gotten an overload on some items that needed to be donated, such as corn muffin mix. Publix had a sale on these which made them free. You could get the coupon in the front of the store. I had my Publix order me 6 cases, which were then donated to the food bank. There are many more scenerios just like this that are amazing!

I could not have done this without the help of HCW!!!!!

    Default I did it!!!

Not sure if this is in the right place to post this...but...I figure those in the know will move it if I am a "naughty" poster.

Today I made my very first coupon purchase online. I went to the Coupon Master...and there were some things on there I got very excited about. Bought a bunch of the Lumin Air candles coupons. I had "bought" two (free at Walmart) for two of my kids...told the other two they had to wait until I had more coupons...I bought 6...then I bought some refill coupons...and some yeast (I bake a TON) coupons...and a few more things...I figure if I use them all...I bought $65 worth of coupons for $5.78!!!! I IMed the hubby this morning to tell him of my conquest....and he is SOOO good at pretending to be excited...even asks me now if I have a coupon for something if he is running to the store. I even considered jumping into the dumpster the other day while taking the recycling...but...couldn't bring myself to go that far yet (I am a GIANT germaphobe) ...one day though!!!

Just wanted to thank HCW...I tell everyone I know about this site...and I LIVE for the deals I can get for our family...we even joke that we woulda bought a puppy for Christmas if I would have had a coupon.

Thanks for teaching me everything I "know" I have FAR to go...but...I am well on my way to building up GC, and multi coupons...and the deals are now making sense!!!

    Thanks again HCW...you ROCK
