Default Re: Favorite Deal of 2008

My first Kmart doubles trip in October. The Touch of Gray rebate (free after RR at Wags plus MIR). Several big months of Wags rebates. Many, many free bottles of Pert at Wags a couple months ago. Oh yeah, the free Kraft items for buying 3 packs of KoolAid will always be a classic!! It's been a good year! I will always remember 2008 as the year I "discovered" HCW and other sites/blogs which made my couponing/rebating grow by leaps and bounds!

Default Re: Favorite Deal of 2008

So many good deals this year, it's hard to choose.
I got a freezer full of frozen veggies and bread. Free McCormick grinders, sugar and flour for $.50 a bag (5 pound bags). Free toilet paper-I have 5 girls! Free dog food and treats. Kraft frees. WG diapers. Ritz crackers. So many more good freebies.
My favorites would be the moneymakers though. Glade, french's mustard, powerade, robitussin, revlon makeup clearance, garnier clearance, pert, and definitely-KY!
My favorite stores I shopped this year (made the most $/got the most free stuff) was definitely walgreens-they paid me to take so much stuff out of their stores this year, the commissary- overage as a policy! Fry's (Kroger)- always something free, and many MM-especially the last two month when we could use competitor coupons and had doubles, triples, and quadruples. I used so many $5/$20 and $6/$30 coupons to get free meat, etc along with the regular freebies. And Albertsons- always take comp. coupons and sometimes double-got a lot of frees there this year too.
A great year and I can't wait for more in 2009-starting with January-typically one of the best months for coupon inserts.

So fun to go see all these...

I think my 10 favorite 2008 "deals" were:

1. FREE/MM Complete at CVS - now have enough supply for entire family until they expire.
2. Viactiv Overage at WAG - We love these and I really loved the overage - I used the overage towards GC and such.
3. Olympic Deal at Randall's (Safeway) where I loaded up on Kleenex and assorted other products!
4. FREE Canned Veggie Coupon from Randall's Hurricane Booklet
5. Kraft Crackers/Cheese Deals (with kool-aid)
6. Mega Sale at Kroger (Bic Razors, Evaporated Milk, ect.)
7. Free Cheap Vitamin Water/Sobe Life Water...
8. "Beef" WT at HEB ($3 off wyb spice, spice cheap/free AC)
9. Using Fresh and Easy $/$$ off at Fry's with coupons and sales
10. Having ECB/WAG GC to get the things I really wanted...

I loved the Kraft Free WYB q's...I had about 10 of each q, we thought we'd never eat all the freebies but they're gone now!

The Huggies $3/2 Cleanteam was AWESOME! I traded for them and bought some on Ebay...we had about 200 packs stacked up, still have aboutb 75. I wish I bought more!

15 tubs of Huggies wipes and 15 8-pack juicy juices for under $8 at Target- used $1.50/1 Huggies Q's and 15 peelies for free juice WYB wipes. We are still working on finishing off that juice, and I had no idea the wipes would last so long, either! My daughter's closet shelf is full of wipes!

The other favorite was all the steals during the xmas shopping rush.

I could go on.
