Default Re: Favorite Deal of 2008

These aren't as great as everyone elses, but here's mine:

1) The free cottonelle TP deals. Hubby saw the price of TP today, as I was getting some more free cottonelle. He literally gasped! I told him, "yep, now you see why I'm getting FREE cottonelle even though it is not your favorite!" I have about 15 packages and 17 more I can get before my coupons expire.

2) Fry's had BC potato pouches 10 for $10. I had .35/1 coupons that ended up rounding up to $1/1. Free potatoes! I have about 25 in the pantry right now.

3) Starkist creations $1/1 coupons. Found them on sale at Target for $1.40 each, so paid $.40 each. I have about 40 in the pantry right now. I'm the only one who eats tuna in the house, so they'll last me awhile.

4) Spam singles are on sale at Fry's this week for $.99. My $.25/1 coupon rounded up to $1/1 because of their coupon special they're having. Free spam! I don't eat it daily, but it's great for a snack sometimes.

I loved the $3/2 Huggies Cleanteam q, the 2.25 q for Electrasol, the $5 GC deal at Target for buying Poptarts, the BOGO Mccormick grinders q combined with a BOGO sale(I'm sold on freshly ground pepper now ), the $2 Solo q and the $2 Goody's Ouchless q. Fun times, I tell ya!

Ok, at least 2 people have mentioned the Huggies wipes at Target. Are you talking about the Target printable that we combined with mfr Qs to get the tubs for $0.14 each? Because that was a 2007 deal But I still have at least 20 tubs left from then too, so I could see why you would think it was a 2008 deal. I'm almost positive of this because I've sworn off of Target and only went there twice this year--and not for tubs of wipes.

Easily the best deal for me was the Kroger Mega sale - I'm stocked on baking goods for the next 6 months, and I was able to make cookies for everyone I know for pennies on the dollar!!

Of course, the Glade catalinas was a very close second!

same here, loved the glade deals, they paid for alot of my groceries
Also, at the same time Giant had a coupon book out with $1 & $2 off coupons for their brands. So, I got tons of bleach for 4c a piece, free popcorn, mouthwash, handsoap, sherbert, organic mac&cheese, pet food...all free.
Then there's the ECB deals @ CVS
Then there's SOC deals @ Target, I got a couple of GCs and tons of refillls.
Also, the free Bic Soliels @ Foodlion, and the free olay bodywash being clearanced
And the Gift of Savings @ Rite Aid $20 free

That coupon expired 1/10/08, so I still consider it an 08 deal.

My fault, I thought it was a summer/fall deal. Of course my Target was probably out of the wipes which is just one of the reasons I've sworn off of them.

Mine was the Viactiv Deal at Walgreens. The were on clearance for $3.49 and they had a ESC for like $3 and then they had a in ad coupon for $2 and a $1 or $2 manufacturer coupon.
Went to 4 Walgreens and I turned the overage into gas gift cards nothing like free gas when it was over $4 a gallon.
