Fun Share: What was the most you saved in a single transaction?

I'm a newbie coupon person.. but my first time out I saved $22 on a $100 grocery bill.. i was pretty happy! I think with more sleuthy work I can save even more!

Hmm...my best savings was definitely during one of the K-Mart double days events (can't wait for tomorrow's to start--I already have my Qs organized and ready to go!). I don't remember the numbers, but I got maybe about $350 worth of products for only about $75 OOP (out of pocket), I think....if I'm remembering correctly... :)

The most was a couple weeks ago at Kroger - started at $110 and ended up paying $60 and change. And sent in a MIR for $10 off $50 in Holiday groceries.

Most fun was probably tonight. I went to Food Lion, bought 2 bags of chips (BOGO) with 2x$2/1 coupons and a tub of dip on sale for 1.50 with .75/1 coupon. They gave me overage on the chips so my total was .24.

Yummy late night snack for under a quarter!

The most I have saved in a single transaction was $600 + dollars. I purchased 40 something razors and 20 something refills at Walgreens (yes i wiped them out) and used one coupon in their ES book and my total oop was $17. I boxed most of them up and donated them to our local homeless shelter. The manager at the shelter asked if I would like a job in charge of purchasing for them.

I saved about 38 and paid only 18 at publix today! Still new but I was proud of that one!!!!

Last grocery trip to Kroger's I saved $95 dollars and paid $120 for what I had. The guy at the register was having fun guessing how much I would save. Half way threw he pushed a button to see how much I had so far. I told him where he could go to do the same thing since he was so impressed! I love those kinds of cashiers. :)

The most was $67 at Publix. I spent $45 that day. It was my grocery run for two weeks.

I tend to go by a percentage rather than the dollar amount. A couple of times I have saved 95% on large orders, and it is normal for me to a minimum of 60% savings. I think the last time that I did extremely well was the Kraft Deal (WAY too much Kool-Aid!). I bought $76 worth of stuff at KMart tonight and paid $6.50 = 91% savings!
