holy cow! id love to see boneless skinless chicken for less then 2.99 a pound(this is the average sale price here)---every now and then albertsons will have it @ 1.69 a pound(but those are few and far between)
I am not sure if I am putting this in the right place or not, but here goes....
I am new to the coupon thing and watching deals. I usually buy my meats at BJs (or in the past Sam's or Costco). Anyway, I was looking online and noticed at my Kroger their ad listed Tyson bonesless, skinless chicken breast for $1.99/pound. Is that a good price? I have no idea since I have never paid attention before. At what price do you stock up on other meats?
Thanks!!!

My store had boneless skinless chicken breasts a few weeks ago for $1.99/lb, I bought a bunch. It is the lowest I've ever seen it in my area. I'll get the bone-in split chicke breasts for a little less every now and then. I got chicken leg quarters for $.49/lb (in a ten pound bag) and they often have thighs and legs for $.99/lb.
Oh what a great idea! Is there a thread for good meat prices?
For example, our Fry's had chuck roast for $1.97/lb a few weeks ago. Bone-in Rib-Eye steaks $3.77/lb. Are those decent prices?
Yes, that is a great deal. Grab it!!
If its $1.99 or under for boneless skinless breast than I stockup. One we love chicken in this house and 2 thats usually the best it goes for here. Although the price a few months ago was lots lower but that was right before all the price increases.
ISO) Winetag's good in IL (NAPN, NWPN)
I will be on vacation from 6/5-6/15.
$2 per pound for boneless/skinless chicken breast is my "buy" price. If it is bone-in then I buy it at $1 per pound. I hope my local Kroger store (Dillon's) has it at that price!!!!

Sorry, I don't know about the chuck roast or steak prices; rarely buy those. I'm not a big fan of "chuck", myself, but generally when something hits $2 per pound I will consider it very strongly.
For the steaks, it would have to be a very special occasion before putting down my money.
