I pay $10 for a bottle of my dandruff shampoo.... if anyone else knows a way to get Nizoral for cheaper, let me know. I pretty much use my GCs from my WG rebates for it :(

Not for me, if I needed it. Sugar is about 2.69/ 5 lb at Walmart.

I have gotten REALLY cheap sugar at Food Lion (.19 for 2 lb bags), but that was only when they had the $1 off any FL brand sugar coupons out.

Default what is a good price for paper towels? laundry detergent?

Not positive if this is the right forum, but . . .

I don't have a price book yet and with my sprained ankle, looks like that might get put on hold.

I did look at the price for p towels at Walg & CVS while there. Seems like the lowest I saw was .86 per towel (3 roll pack - 85 per roll for total of $2.19 = 255 towels for $2.19)

Obviously, since I'm new, I don't have a huge number of coupons, etc. I do have one Bounty .25 coupon.

I'm not in dire need of p towels, but . . .
The CVS P&G sale has Bounty Basic 8 pk for $5. There are 60 per roll, so a total of 480 sheets. With the $10 ECB w/ $20 purchase, that makes the cost $2.50 per pack / 480 sheets = .52 cents per sheet.

I'm thinking this is a really good price, but not positive. Does anyone have what would be a good price per sheet on sale? (I know that many of you probably get them free, but I'm not there yet and don't think I ever will be. I just don't want to buy 16 to 32 rolls unless I think it is a really good price.

Someone gave me a ballpark price per load for laundry detergent, but I'm open to more of those as well.

Also ballpark price on dryer sheets.

Thanks!!

Default Decent price for laundry detergent??

What would you consider a great sale/clearance price for name brand laundry detergent when going by the ounce? Less than 4-5 cents or better?

I'm looking at 100oz. - 200oz. containers...thanks!!!

for me, we don't double in my area, so clearance price for cleaning products any kind would have to be at least 50%...and i would need a coupon to go w/it also, to justify stockpiling it in my house....if i already have some of it
if i don't have any of it...30%-50% clearance for detergent is good for me on name brand

First, laundry detergents vary a lot thise days re: amount used per load. It is better to do comparisons based on # of loads. Luckily the number of loads is indicated on the containers.

I've started my price book!! Least expensive I have found so far was SunBurst 2x at WalMart. $1.97 for 40 loads, so just under 5 cents per load.

You asked about name brands - CVS has Tide on sale this week - up to 48 loads for $8. With $10 ECB with purchase of $20 P&G, that is effectively $4 for 48 loads = 8 1/3 cents per load. If you have a $4 off $20 purchase thing, then that would be a further 20% savings bringing it to 6.7 cents per load. It would be even better if you had coupons. I'm still new, so not many good coupons.

So, short answer for me - a great price would be 4 cents per load right now. For seasoned shoppers, I'm sure it is less.
