Re: It's all about the bottom line! What is your best price? Nice definition buddysmom. I finally know what they are (I'm a bit of a newbie at this).
Since I live in LOND, I don't get stuff as cheap. I do go to a store (Cub Foods) that takes coupons up to three months after they are expired though, which is nice and convenient, as I can always wait for the deals.
I will pay no more than
Laundry Detergent: small ones, $1, big ones, $3
Dishwash Soap: $1 to $2, depending how big it is
Dishwash Detergent (Powdered kind): $2 to $2.50 for a big one
Toothpaste: Usually 50 cents, but the other day, I got $3 off two that were 2 for $5.
Body Wash: $2, I usually get Softsoap, so it's a bit more expensive.
Shampoo: $1 to $2
Deodorant: 50 cents, usually free.
Toilet Paper: I use Scott Regular so, about 40 to 50 cents.
Paper Towels:50 cents for the good kind.
Hot Dogs: $1 for eight of them.
Loaf of Bread (the sandwich kind): $1 (I only get whole wheat)
Pound of 80/20 (or around there) ground beef: about $1.50 a pound
Pound of Chicken Breasts: I get frozen, boneless, skinless, so it's cheaper - usually about $1.50 a pound.
Package of Italian Sausage: I like turkey sausage (it's healthier), but I'll get regular Italian hot for maybe $2 max.
Package of Ring Sausage: $2 or so each, but only if I get something else free with them.
Cereal: 50 cents to $1 per box.
Gallon of Milk: about $2 to $2.50.
Pound of shredded cheese: maybe $3 (I always get low fat)
Tub of Yogurt: $2
Pound of Sour Cream (fat free or low fat only, unless I absolutely need full fat): $1.50.
Pound of Butter: $2
I know I could probably get cheaper prices, but I like to get healthier stuff, and I also live in LOND. I don't get fruit snacks, chip, or soda pop very often (unless they are dirt cheap or free), so I save money there.
Just a question to others: How many newspapers do you get a week? I get only one. I'm thinking of upgrading to two so I can get more coupons. |
