Re: It's all about the bottom line! What is your best price? This is an answer of sorts for the above newbie posters.
First of all, all of the prices and such in this thread are from long time experienced couponers.
After you get better at it, you will figure out your own best price that you will pay for things.
Most of us [cvsers] rarely will pay more than a buck for almost anything household.
But, you usually have to build those things into your deals.
As for the girls asking about how you get toilet paper and paper towels for those prices:
you can this week at cvs.
Using the standard 4/20 and a man Q for each do it this way:
buy 1 charmin 9 pk for 4.99
buy 1 bounty 8 pk for 5.99
buy 3 packs of duracell batteries @ 2.99 each
total is 19.95[normally ecbs will not print until you hit 20.00, but they are set at 19.85 now]
you may have to add a 50 cent filler, so say the total is 20.50.
use
4/20
1/1 charmin Q
1/1 bounty Q
3 1/1 duracell Qs
pay 11.50 plus tax
get back 10 ecbs.
You have now bought 9 rolls of tp,8 paper towels and 3 packs of batteries for under 2 bucks plus tax.
When experienced cvser calculate prices, we do it after the ecbs and then we use the ecbs for our next deal.
you can of course, do it all charmin or bounty or whatever,
I did all batteries for the lowest oop, but,I think this will show you how it can be easily done.
Ps. I know this isn't a cvs deals thread, but I felt there were too many girls asking about this and not getting answers recently.] |
