Also, what price are you willing to pay for kitty litter and dog/cat treats? | bewteen 3 cats who are rather spoiled by the way, we buy the tidy cats buckets (currently @ walmart for 12.72 each! holy cow, last time i bought them they were 10.54! ) aphrodite(the scitzo orange cat) wont eat treats at all--unless its pot roast or ham--blue (the fluffbucket) eats any treats i give them, and so does star(fat kitty), the 3 only eat iams, goodlife or purina naturals(and even with goodlife or purina naturals, it has to be 2/3 iams with 1/3 either purina naturals or 1/3 goodlife other wise NONE of our cats will eat it) but if i can get cat food for less then $3.00 a bag im a happy person! i have yet to pay for treats, as they have been free with qs(or like 10 cents each)

| Re: It's all about the bottom line! What is your best price? I'd be curious to know, the posters who've posted here, especially the ones on the first couple pages, how has your prices changed? Have you lowered the amount you're willing to pay for some products, since you originally posted? I realize most prices have gone up in the last 2 years, but I'd also imagine that your willingness for your oop has gone down...
(please note, the penny, does not usually include tax...)
I absolutely refuse to pay a single penny for cereal, shampoo/cond, toothbrushes, skin care, baby wipes, and baby washes/lotions...

| Dont Pay For That!! So after doing this for 2 and a half weeks im realizing i need to be patient, eventually it will be free.
But I thought this would be an interesting thread for noobs to reference when they first start stockpiling.
What are things you wouldn't consider paying for because often enough they are free. These things you just need to be patient for the right deal and stock up when it is free to get you by until its free again.
Here are a few I know of, please add more so we can have a comprehensive thread for noobs (namely me) to reference when they see a sale.
Body Wash
Deodorant
Shampoo/conditioner
Toilet Paper
Tooth paste
What else is free often enough (say every 3-6 months) that you should wait to stock pile until it is

| Re: Dont Pay For That!! I agree with all of the above, and want to add that you should never pay for a product that's newly on the market! I think that's why HBA are so easy to find free - they are always coming out with somthing new to appeal to our vanity!!
They promote it to death in the beginning to get you hooked, through combinations of coupons/sale pricing/store promotions like CVS' extra bucks.
Sometimes, you can even get actual samples in the mail. There's a whole topic devoted to free samples here: Freebies for individuals - Hot Coupon World
After a product has been on the market a while, the coupon values decrease; for example, the Phenom razors had $4 coupons and $6 extra bucks when they first came out. Now the coupons are only $2, and no extra bucks. Oh, and they even put the online surveys in their package so you could earn a $10 gift card! I did two of them.
Right now, Keebler is big time promoting two new cookies - peanut butter sticks and fudge filled cookies. They had .55/1 those two types only and $1/2 any Keebler cookies last week. When I combined the .55/1 with my triple coupons and the sale price of $1.99 (reg price $3.99), I got them for .34/ea..... LOTS of them!
Another new-ish type of product are all of the tabs and gelpacs for the dishwasher. I've gotten them for .24/ea with .75/1 coupons doubled when these were on sale for half price. I won't be buying anymore dishwasher detergent for over a year.
I know others have even better sales in their areas, so some of these prices might seem high to others!
So look for new products, snatch them up, and stock up is my best advice! |
