Don't know about deals in your state. But I do know that Purina Little Bites or Purina One are great for dogs. We have 4 and they thrive on it. None of them are fond of GoodLife. Also if you dog is overweight you can add canned green beans to their food. Use less kibble. So if they get 1c at a feeding and you give 1/2c green beans, only give 1/2 cup kibble. Also a great snack for them is Cheerios, regular not flavored or sweetened. HTH.

There is a rebate for $12.99 on bags of Science Diet Naturals at Petsmart. A 5lb bag is $12.99 so after rebate it's free. But you can use the rebate toward a bigger bag.

Check out the Paws and Claws forums, there is a lot of helpful information over there.

There's a $4/1 Purina IP floating around that can get you nearly free small bags. Also, if you have a Kroger near-by check for closeouts on Kibbles and Bits--I got about 35 small bags a week or two ago for free or nearly free with Qs on those.

Honestly, quality dog foods are not Purina, Iams, GoodLife, ProPlan or any of that garbage. Scarily enough, when I was talking to my friend about his new puppy's diet, the dog was eating Beneful--with beef pictured on the bag, but absolutely no meat in the kibble!

Quality dog food has no by products or corn in it. It has muscle meat, and is high in protein. Natura pet makes several great ones (Innova, California Natural, EVO), Orijen, Artemis, and Wellness are all good quality kibbles.

I ordered free samples of Blue Blue Buffalo — All Natural, Healthy Dog Food, Cat Food and Treats for my two dogs and with the package they included $3.00 coupons in each package. There is also petsmart coupons postfuture::coupons out and if you buy Blue or any other marked item you will get a five dollar gift card back in the mail after entering your receipt info online.

It's not free, but if you want good quality dog food Blue is the way to go.
