I really don't like to trade for pphf but I don't get multiple inserts and I get good good coupons by luck. So I often have to pay pphf. I really don't like getting pphf though. but sometimes is necessary when people are in the same position I am often not having good coupons and what not.
As far as the kraft coupons, i do see some people want and arm and a leg for them. I agree with others that to come up with their fair value you have to consider that they are WYB. On top of that I consider that people can find these items on sale, so the "up to value" is too high most of the times. For example the one for crystal light is for up to 3.xx, but you can get the box for $2 at Walmart. Deduct the price of three kool aids to be able to use the coupon (60 cents) and then you are talking about saving around $1.40. You can't pay $1 for that coupon! that would be way too much. You may as well trade for some $2 off kens dressing and get free dressing that way then.
So, before you go on a frenzy over a "hot" coupon consider your alternatives and calculate the real savings you are getting after factoring in the cost of that coupon. That said I have paid thru the nose for winetags. But I consider winetags in a different ball park. |
