Update:

So, we went to the church, and unfortunately, no one was there and the doors were locked. We weren't sure which house was the parsonage, but decided to just go check the bins anyway.

Looked on the sides to see if there were any "Do Not Remove Papers" signs or something, and there were none. So, we peak in, and there's STACKS of newspapers in the one. Most were in bags, so we took out one, and went back to the car to sort through it.

There was only two inserts in that one, so we put it back and got out two more bags. The first had nothing useful in it, but in the second one I found a sizeable stack of inserts, which made the trip well worth it.

I'm thinking about going back tomorrow after church, since people probably drop off their newspapers when they go on Sunday, and asking someone who's there this time.

Getting extra copies of Newpaper might be as easy as asking:
Hee hee you will not believe what I did today ! Simply walked in and asked the friendly clerk @ Chevron/Subway in Sammamish if he would sell me the Sunday paper late at night for reduced price... he said no but hemmed around a bit, I said ok, when they come pick up the unsold copies what do you do with the insersts - he said oh I'd give 'em to yah if you want, in fact go ahead and take a couple right now, we prob. wont sell 'em.
( mind you this was Saturday early edition ) Well gohsh dern ok then if your sure ? - Boom I had two free papers... I;m trying to think of something nice to do to return the favor-

Hahaha, actually, I had stopped at my local gas station (in Illinois right now) and I knew the girl who was working, she lives about 6 houses down the street from me. I asked what they did with the leftover papers, and she said they clipped them around 10:30. She then said that she would save the rest of the papers in a bag for me, and I could pick them up tonight!

i took my DS for me when i went. he wanted to get in too. we didnt get quite as many as you did, but i was giddy at the amount i did get. we were able to load up on the b1g1 olay stuff :) woohooo!

SOOOO glad we didnt get caught. i would die if that happened. good thing that guy was able to laugh about it :)

I've never done this before and I have no idea where to find these recycling bins as I've never seen any. Is there a website where I can look them locally?
