Recycling bins are usually pretty clean and dry.
Digging through other people's food, or even Coke bottles? Not for a million coupons! My health is more important than that. But nice, dry papers, I have no problem with.
Oh, and I wore gloves.

| Dumpster Diving surprise!!! I took my DS dumpster diving, last night. This was only our 2nd attempt, and I REALLY wanted some of the inserts from Sunday's paper!
We get to the recycling bin, and I pull the van up close to it, so we can stand in the open door, to reach inside. DS asked if he could get IN the bin, because it hurt his stomach to bend over the edge. The papers were stacked up pretty high on one end, so I said sure, since it would be easy to get out.
After about 30 minutes of diving, someone comes up, to drop off some papers. I told DS there was a car coming, so he should get out. He said the man probably wouldn't see him (preteens ). Well, sure enough, the man opens the door right where DS is sitting! He gasped really big, and DS said, "Hi, there!" I about DIED!!! The man gave us a really odd look, and I told him we were looking for coupons. He said, "There are probably quite a few in here, then. Good luck!" He laughed, and left.
Sure enough, he had some coupons in there!
We giggled for the rest of our dive, and ended up with about 30 inserts!
